If I were in the market for a doll house, this is the one I would get:
I almost wish I were a kid again...
Looking into a dollhouse for my daughter's Christmas and was wondering if any of you had recommendations? She will be 3 soon. I always like Pottery Barn because I feel that their products are made well, but it is expensive. $159, not including dolls and accessories. I just want to get her something that she will use for several years. Thanks in advance!!
Thanks for all of your suggestions! I ordered the Kidcraft Majestic Dollhouse through Costco and got it for $140!! It comes with a lot of accessories, but you can also add to it. Has great reviews as well. I want something that my daughter will play with for years to come and I think this will accomplish that. ;)

I like the Kidkraft dollhouses myself. They have a wide variety in many price ranges.

depending on how big it is I dont think that is too far out there in price. Its something she can keep forever and give to her daughter? I think its an investment piece. Growing up I never had a doll house but had a doll bed and cradle and a box that had wheels on the bottom but could be turned on its side to be a closet for the doll clothes. It had a string and eyelet hoops on either side to hang clothes. Perhaps this year you should get accessories and next year the doll house.
The doll houses at Hobby Lobby seem flimbsey like if you fell on it that would be the end of that house! Look for sturdy, thicker wood or even plastic. Here is a link on different doll houses.
