Donation Items for Someone in Need

I have a pretty nice Graco infant car seat w/base, a mobile and a little wall w/all kinds of items to play with when the little one gets big enough to stand up and hold on. I was going to donate to goodwill or something but I thought I would ask and see if anyone knows anybody that could really use the items and doesn't have the money to buy them. Not someone that is looking for a good deal, but someone that is really in need.

What can I do next?

Check craigslist. Usually moms in need will post looking for donations of baby items. :)

Hi A. -

I'm sure you received several responses, but my daughter is expecting her first child and neither her nor her boyfriend have the funds to purchase all the things they are going to need (and unfortunately, I don't either). Please consider her when making your decision.

Thank you for your generosity,

M.

I know someone, but she's in Florida. It's a friend's neighbor. On our message board we have all "banded" together and sent m oney or items that we could. Is there anything that would be small and easy to ship? I don't want you to have to spend an arm and a leg. She seriously has nothing. :(

The local Crisis Pregnancy Centers take gently used baby items to put in their baby stores. The moms take baby-care classes to earn points, which they can then spend in the store to buy baby and maternity supplies.

Blessings!

I wonder if you can donate it to a battered womens shelter? I bet they are short on those kinds of items. I wish I knew someone personally, that is a great gift.
