IME, teenagers do skating/bowling, etc on Friday or Sat nights.
A Sunday night should be fine.
hubs is taking ds out and it was to be just us girls, I called a freind and made tentative plans for our 8 yo girls to get together--so mom and i could hang. Just found out we can't meet until after dinner so it will be 7 pm.
there are no moives out, i'ld love to go iceskating but i'm thinking that and bowling would be pretty rowdy with teenagers. They are smidge too old for PLaylands. anyone else have any other ideas. Chucky Cheese just occured to me, not my fav but that might fit the bill. willing to hear other suggestions.
thanks.
It would be a Saturday night where i live.
I "assumed" the teens hit the bowling alleys early and then later in the night did what ever they do. so at 7-8 on a sat I figured it would be crowded. maybe i'll call they might ahv leagues too.

I'd do bowling or ice skating. Trust me on this, your kids will not notice rowdy teenagers ONLY you will and you will bring them to their attention. You are there to give your kids attention at bowling or skating. Sometimes you have to step out of ADULT mode and become 8 again if need be. Your kids are only concerned about what you THINK and what you REACT TO.... so learn to control yourself in certain situations and let your children enjoy themselves.
Think back to when you were 8, do you remember crazy stuff? If you do, it's because your parents brought it to your attention.
Skating or bowling sounds perfect. Around here those places are mostly families, unless you go on a "teen night" but even then it's pretty tame (sadly the rowdy teenagers are out doing less wholesome activities.)
How about going to an ice cream parlor or cupcake place? Just have a light dinner lol!
Or you guys could rent a movie, get some munchies (and wine for the mommies) and chill on your couch for the evening :-)
Where I live bowling alleys and skating rinks aren't rowdy with teenagers, especially on a Sunday night!
Get pedicures/manicures?
Go out for dessert?
Go to a craft store and pick out a craft to do together when you get home (or on another day).
Museums are sometimes open depending on the night. Is it still too cold up there for a game of Putt-Putt?
