all my kids have had their ears pierced at a local beauty salon that i go to. but i do have to add that most peoples rule of thumb is to wait to pierce ears until the baby can hold her own head up. good luck

Our Dr.s office would not do it, and I was leery about going to the mall but have had good experiences with both our girls (at age 2 mo). This last time it was at Icing in Orland. We asked the lady who would be doing it and if there were two persons who could give the piercing at the same time in each ear (I highly reccomend this). The woman was very nice and knowledgeable, told us when to come back for the 2nd person, then we gave our daughter some tylonol about 1/2 hour before. After it is over, a little nursing/bottle and neither of my daughters had a problem, infection, or even touched their earings. They heal so well when they are that age, dont remember the pain, and look so cute. You will be able to make the judgement whether you trust the person working at that time. Good Luck.

I asked our pediatrician and her office did not do it, but said that as long as we went some place reputable and our little girl had her shots, it should be fine. We took her to the local jewelry store and they did it with a piercing gun.

Our Dr. referred us to another Dr. who was able to do it. I wouldn't suggest taking your baby to a place at the mall. They are so little and the thought of some 16 year old with no experience piercing my baby's ears didn't sit well.

Both of my girls got their ear's pierced through their pediatricians. (4 months and 3 months) I would highly recommend that to get it down under there care rather than someone else. Maybe you can check to see if her pediatrician offers it.
