I'd like to be able to have my six yr old continue learning over the summer. He loves educational programs on the internet but sometimes when we travel we do not have wireless. Suggestions for fun educational CDs that I could use on a Mac? Or is there anything on the internet that can be downloaded and then played ? thanks

We have used Brain Play, Jumpstart, and Reader Rabbit. Our son likes the Jumpstart programs the best. We have found software at Sams, teacher stores, and scholastic.com.

My kids grew up with the Jump Start series. I highly recommend it.

You can register to use JumpStart online so its as portable as your ability to reach the Internet. And it appears to keep track of my son's age so the games and challenges remain age-appropriate.
