So I have been considering getting my tubes tied. I has a consultation appt with my gyn today and she talked me into going the essure route. I came home and started reading on it and it seems like nothing but bad reviews. Now I a little scared to do it. Anyone have any good experiences with this procedure? Thanks

What can I do next?

I wouldn't put a foreign object in my body if there was another way... And there is, I had an old school tubal a few years ago, tubes are cut and cauterized, no foreign object insertion.

I have nothing good to say about it. I was pressured into it, after 2 scans the tubes were not blocked and they couldn't find one of the plugs. Invasive ultrasound at my GYN and they found the plug in my uterus. After a year or so measing around with appts and all of the copayments/coinsurance paid I finally got what I wanted originally ... A tubal. Yeah!

I've only heard good things about it. It's not very invasive, the day they're put in you're back to normal if you don't do a lot of heavy work, and you might have a few cramps.

I haven't had any friends that had it not pass the first test completely.

You do realize ONLY the people that had problems post reviews right? The people who are happy with it don't think to go to the company and post the love it.

So you are only seeing a small portion of people who've had it done. Think about all the people who did have it and had zero problems.

Oh boy....
Well I had it done 3 yrs ago. No pain, no problems, no complications. 100% blocked at the first HSG test.
And no problems to speak of afterwards. (And no more babies.)

So...I'm all for it! Best piece of mind I ever got!
