I'd call your OBGYN and make an appointment. They should be able to help you figure out what is going on.
Hi everyone, my question is about the essure procedure, I had mine done in June 2010, and my periods were a little hevier as expected,( nothing to be concerned about considering they were heavy before I was on the pill), but now my periods are lighter and in the past 3 months I have been late by a few days or a week, my last period was april 22 (1st day) and as of today I'm still waiting for it.... in april I was late by almost a week and I even did a pregnancy test, but I got my period that same day right after lol, I don't feel any pain or symptoms of pregnancy but don't know what to do, has anyone gone throught the same situation? please help!! :-S
Tx for your help
Hi ladies! thank You for your prompt respond/opinion, now I must say that I had the HSPG test done three months after the procedure and everything was ok. My dr had told the possibility of having lighter periods, but not about missing periods, I don't think is pre-menopause because I'm only 37 and had my last baby 18 mo ago, (my mom started w/menopause at around 45 and also most of the women in my family on both sides) so I don't think that's the case, like i said before, I don't have any pain, just a feeling that I'm going to have my period but it never comes! I'll call my dr tom first thing in the morning. I also should say that a month ago I had my annual papsmear and check up and everything was perfect, so I don't get it :-/ and know I don't have insurance anymore and my dr is sooo expensive :-(

I don't think it has a thing to do with Essure because Essure doesn't affect your hormones, nor does it introduce any hormones into your body. I think something else is going on.
With the Essure procedure, 3 months afterwards, you should have had an ultrasound done to make sure that the blockage is complete. If they told you there is complete blockage, then there is pretty much no chance that you are pregnant. If you did not get that ultrasound done, you need to talk to your doctor.
I had Essure done a of couple years ago and my periods got heavier.
I just had Nova Sure done Tuesday to help reduce/eliminate my periods.
Periods just get weird later in life and I'm SO OVER THEM!
Call your doctor.
How old are you? You could be in peri-menopause. Also, your hormones may have changed some because of your age, stress, illness, medications., etc. Check with your doctor.
