I have a weird question?? I have heard that you are not supposed to get your eyebrows waxed when you are pregnant? I am 26 weeks and am tired of plucking. Do any of you know if this is true or is it safe to go ahead and get them waxed? Thank you!! :)
I did some waxing when i was pregnant, about that far along. I looked funny for a week. I had a lot of swelling and redness several people at work felt like they had to comment. My doctor did not say anything aganist it but my skin did not handle it the same.

I know of a place in grapevine that does eyebrow threading it is so much better then waxing and it hurts less. I'm not sure of the name right off the top of my head but i will look abd let you know if you are interested.
What? I got my eyebrows waxed the whole time I was pregnant, both times! My children are fine, and I felt good about myself. Man, that is just a staple of beauty. They never looks as good if you pluck them yourself. At least mine don't!
Hey C.! I've heard that it's harmful because it puts stress on the body, you know, cuz of the pain, or the expectation of the p[ain. I think if you've had it done before and have built up a tolerance to the pain you should be fine. Good luck! :)

Please, who did you hear that from?? That is absurd!! I am pretty high maitenance girl and I have had my nails/toes done for 24 years, my eyebrowns done w/electrolysis & waxing and my bikini waxed for the last 10 years!! Please, I have a 3 year old son and everything is fine! And I look and feel great!! I did it all through my pregnancy.
I have colored my hair too.
If you have questions, talk to your OB/GYN if you are really nervous about it.

Never heard of it. I waxed as usual while pregnant.
I waxed as usual while pregnant with no problems. Although since my daughter was born, I've discovered threading. It doesn't pull off a layer of skin like waxing, but with the same results - great if you have sensitive skin. I go to Styles of India in Arlington, and Chandu does a great job.
I haven't heard of it being unsafe or anything to wax during pregnancy. You may be a little more sensitive though, so it might sting a little more that usual is all.
The only reason I would think someone would say not to is so you are not laying on your back which is supposibly not good when you are further along. But even my doc said if you wake up in the middle of the night on your back that there is no need to freak so I dont know why anyone would say you shouldnt wax during pregnancy.
I got mine waxed the whole time I was pregnant - well, up until about 8 months - and it never caused any problems for me....
I'm not sure where you heard that from, but it's not true. I waxed my brows up until the week before. . . got pedicures too. Go for it.
Like everyone else is saying, it is totally fine to wax your eyebrows when you are pregnant. I sure did and I also waxed my lip, highlighted my hair and did the mystic tan. My doctor said that all of this was totally fine to do and he would never suggest anything to me if there was even the slightest chance of it not being safe. You are fine.

I waxed every 6 weeks during my pregnancy and up to the day before I was induced.(I was a week overdue and wanted to make sure I looked pretty for the pictures)

If you like getting your eyebrows waxed, there is no real reason you should not get them waxed at this time. Another alternative is to get them threaded. I like threading better than waxing any day since it doesn't take a layer of skin off.

Make yourself feel beautiful. As you know, I'm right there with you on the pregnancy and whatever it takes to make you feel more attractive is important. I had my hair highlighted and chopped last weekend. I feel like a new woman!
