Hello Mamas,

I am thinking of getting some false eyelashes put on by a professional. They are kind of expensive, so I was wondering if you had any advise good or bad. Do you like them? Do they bother you? Would you do it again? Just anything you can think of? I have very short lashes and it takes me a while to put mascara on. I now have two small children and anything that makes my life easier and quicker is better for me. Thanks for you help.

What can I do next?

i put mine on myself and i love them. i only wear them for occasions and such. i dont remember how much i paid for them but they were a really nice natural looking set. i totally dont know what i would do without them. they do take a little while to get used to but you soon forget you even have them on. make sure you get good glue for them.

Mine are getting somewhat sparse and I look at the falsies at the store from time to time and I'm thinking of trying some of the glue on ones. What is GOOD glue? Obviously not the glue that comes with the lashes eh?
I have a good friend that applies the false lashes, she has tons of customers. It is time consuming and usually you have a follow up in 2 weeks. You just have to be gentle with your eyes, no rubbing...
They attach a lash or two to each of your own lashes. So depending on how well your own lashes stay in depends on how long they will look nice.

I have had them and they lasted about 4-5 weeks with some coming out during that time. I had mine done at the Lash Lounge and the inital application takes about an hour and a half. Refills take 30-45 depending on the person. I had to be careful when I showered, washed my faced, rubbed my eyes etc.

I'm curious, how long do they last? You talk about them as if they last longer than the type you buy and do yourself. I have tried those, and I do like them... they do take some careful application, but if you get a nice, natural looking set, and a good glue, they can look really good!

I don't know anything about having them professionally done, so I'm wondering how long they stay on?
