We do family fondue every year. We do cheese with bread, meat, fruit & veggies as well as yummy chocolate. It is very fun and hands on for kids. We put the food on the fondue skewers and my son cooks his own/ dips his own food.

My son is 6 and we have been doing this since he was 2. He has helped out since 4. Have fun!

i make a nice dinner and make little cards for hubby and2 kids. We are in the middle of wrestling season (hubby coaches high school team) there isnt a lot of free time, so i prefer to just do that. Hubby usaully sends me a coffee to work too. :)

I like the large valentine shaped cookie with whatever you want written on it. I don't remember where to get them. I think the kids would be impressed with the size.

Perhaps have each person tell what they love about everybody, including themselves. If the kids like to color/draw have them make a place mat for each person.

I have always wanted to try Fondue but didnt' want to spend a bunch of money on a fancy pot until we have tried it and know we will like it. So I had been on the lookout at Goodwill and found a BRAND NEW UNOPENED $30 Chocolate Xpress for $4!!! Yippeee! So I'm surprising the kids with this after dinner on Tuesday (I'm making something new that we never had before but not sure what yet). Basically you don't need a fancy pot, just melt choc and dip fruits, cookies, marshmallows, etc and enjoy! I think if we like to do this, it will be our new Vday family tradition. =)

My boys are about the same age! I bought some Pilsbury pre-cut sugar cookies. They'll have fun dumping the colored sugar on them. I thought they would also enjoy each making one for daddy. They don't yet have the patience for me to roll out the dough and cut the shapes, so I thought I'd just skip that part. Also, evenings around here are short.

I'll be checking back here throughout the day. Hope you get some good ideas!
