Words with Friends is the fav of everyone I know that has one!
I have an 18-month old son who loves, loves, loves - Peekaboo Barn. There is also a great Dr. Suess book reader - you can read it yourself, or the app will do it for you. There's also a flash card app, but he's only a bit interested in that.
I have the iPhone (LOVE IT) and live in a large city, so I almost always have 3G and sometimes WiFi coverage.
My little girl loves the Tappy Tunes! I also find her favorite cartoons online or on youtube and save to favorites so I can find them easy when she need some distraction. For me helpful: FFM (is FreeFotoMessenger--to send txt messages to other iPhone who also have FFM--hubby works out of town, so I send him LOTS of pictures), iheart radio, Mint.com (for budget management), Fandango (for movies). Also, my bank (WellsFargo) has a wonderful app (check balances, do BillPay, etc) and I found an app for one of my local news stations (not my favorite, but it helps me keep up with local news). For me fun: Plants vs Zombies, Harbor Master, DinerDash.
I just always go to All games then click the free tab. Words with friends is my fave, the little metal ball, monkey flight, i have a few spongebob ones for the kids. There are a bajillion and 1 games. HTH
My son is 3 and loves Trucks!!
Trucks!! is an app that has short construction videos with character voices. He liked Peekaboo Barn when he was younger.
