I am expecting twins boy/girl in March 2007 and I am looking for some advice on how to find and contact a pediatrican for my twins.

A good place to start is with your OB. Ask them if they have any good recommendations. I got a list of recommended pediatricians from my OB and I just called a few that were close to home, scheduled meet and greets with them to interview them, asked my questions, and decided from there.
Hi J.,
I take my 8 month old son, Avi, to Advanced Pediatric Associates of of Smokey Hill and Resivor. His Doctor is Bradley Kurtz. All of the doctors are great there. Just stay away from Jeff Silverman. He never returns phone calls until days later. Their website is www.advancedpediatricassociates.com. If one of your babies is sick, they will get you in within two hours of your call. They have a 24 hour doctor on call, and they have Saturday hours for sick babies. The nurses line is also great for info and they have a lactation consultant on staff.
Hope this helps.

The best way is to get some recommendations, and visit the doctor before you have the babies! Your mommy gut will tell you whether or not you are comfortable with that doctor! I don't want to give a recommendation at this time, since I have only seen my daughters doctor one time! I hope you find the right ped. for you and your babies! Congrats on the twins! I am 10 weeks pregnant, and was hoping for twins, since my mom is a twin, I thought it would be so much fun! Good luck and take care of yourself!
Denver West Pediatrics in Golden/Lakewood area. We see Dr Campbell there, but love the physician's assistants too. The phone number is ###-###-#### (I think). Dr Campbell is great. We love him.
Congrats on the babies!!
Congratulations on 2 babies...double the fun and double the headaches!!:) A few important things to keep in mind...office hours, how soon you can get a sick kid in, do they have a nurse line to call if you have general questions, location (don't want to drive far with a sick kid in the back seat). Also, one more thing, since you are carrying multiples and are generaly higher risk for pre-term labor, make sure the ped you choose does rounds at the hospital you are delivering. When calling Ped offices, be sure to tell them you are having twins.
As for finding a Ped. Recomendations are the best way to go. Ask around! Do you belong to a multiples group,or any sort of MOMS groups. They would all be able to help you. Ask your OB as well, they should have a list or reccomdendations. SOmetimes Dr.'s do not do interviews/visits, as it takes time away from their existing paitients. I was siaappointed my Ped. did not do interviews. Looking back on it I would have made a fool of my self, as I had no idea what to ask and what the correct answers are! You can also contact peds. that people refer you to, and ask for a reference in your area. Dr.'s know Dr.'s!! :)
FYI... our Ped is Dr. Bob Mauro at Greenwood Pediatrics in Littleton (SW plaza area). ###-###-#### They also have offices in Centinal and Parker. BEST WISHES.
P.S. I have many friends who have twins and triplets. I ahve been told by them that the best thing they did was to join a multiples group. A way to meet other moms in your same boat! Also a great resource to get all your baby gear, they often have children's sales for fundraising.
J.,
I have recommended Dr.Howard Corren to Kiki here on mamasource. She was new here and also has twins. There is a Dr. there by the name Deb Brandson. She she awesome. What's nice is this office takes the time to see you not the 20minutes then we're done. There number is ###-###-####. They take all types of insurance. Talk to Judy or Chris at the front desk and they can help you right away. Even set up an appointment that day for you. They are located at the Medical Center of Aurora. 1421 S. Potomac Aurora.
And congrats on the twins.
Hi J. - Congrats on the twins! My twins will be 10 this year - I miss them as babies! I just moved here and was in a similar situation. My insurance also didn't have a very extensive list to choose from. I started going to Timberview Clinic for Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. We usually see Dr. Paige Turk but have also seen her husband Dr. Jeff Turk. they are AWESOME!!!!! I like the fact that they are also internists so my family can all get care from them (and then they have a good handle on the family history etc) but they still specialize in Pediatrics unlike family medicine dr's. They are both young and friendly, and take their time with you and the kids. They are also proactive with any concerns and will not hesitate (like some do) to send you to a specialist if necessary or run tests when required. I love them! Their number is ###-###-#### and they are located at 1400 S. Potomac Suite 215 in Aurora across from the Medical Center of Aurora. (Just past the intersection of Potomac and Mississippi,
HI,
I take my boys to Dr. William Delano, out in Highlands Ranch. He works for Arapahoe Park Pediatrics. He is WONDERFUL. I actually drive way out of my way to continue using him. The man is patient, funny, kind and really takes time with you. I have used him for years, and the guy never ages! MY girls went to him too, they are now 22 and 19. They take most insurances.I waited a year to have my boys inoculated, and he didn't preasure me in any way to start earlier. The man is great, I just can't say enough good things about him. THe number is ###-###-####.
Good luck in your search, and congratulations!!
