ok so i am a small town girl that came from a town with no selection on clothes. now i live in a big town can go anywhere i want and get anything i want. heres the problem. bieng from a small town I dont know the stores I need to shop. so I need suggestions. I like western shirts but they are mostly long sleeve and the short sleeve I dont always care for. I hate plaid by the way. i am very comfy in sweats and tshirts. in okla i all had to pick from was bland t shirts just plain red or black or whatever. I like diffrent clothes that most people wouldnt be caught dead in. like jeans with multiple colors or lots of buttons or half one color half another. I like football jerseys and baseball jerseys camoflauge. I am a tom boy. but i would like a little bit of a female look. I dont want to look like barbie but a girl. I like t shirts with a diffrent type stiching on them or something like that. the biggest problem i have finding shirts is now they are cut low in the boobs. I have no boobs I am flat chested. so if I wear one of the shirts cut like that i reveal everything which in my books is not cool. I am a small frame but wear extra large so they dont cut into my arm pits i have wide shoudlers. I cant stand tight clothes that cut into my armpits. I would rather have them baggy. now which stores would you start with and which brands would you suggest??? I deperately need and want new clothes and hate settling and want to find the style I like. so what are your suggestions. thanks guys.

I would suggest Kohl's. I tend to dress casual, they fit the bill most of the time.
You've got some great suggestions on stores. You can always add a fun necklace if you don't want a plain t-shirt to look too plain. I've got some closeouts if you are interested in jewelry under $15. Most of the pieces are normally in the $18-35 range. (It's Cookie Lee jewelry which is affordable but stands behind their quality.)
Good Christmas D. you ain't making it easy. Since you are small framed but broad shouldered and like western shirts why not check the boys/teen section of any dept store. Not mens but boys. You'll still get the longer body and a little closer fit but the shoulders will be broader. Going more "girly" and if you are looking for a little more tan what Gap, Old Navy or a more moderate price line may ofer, Theory is a great choice, slim fitting but not clingy. You are really going to have to bite the bullet and just go to a store and try a few brands on and perhaps find a knowledgeable sales associate. Otherwise a personal shopper can make it happen for you. Happy shopping!
I was going to suggest checking out the tween boys' department but see some other savvy lady beat me to it.
I will also suggest that you check out consignment and thrift stores for new/gently worn clothing. It's a game of luck/chance, but sometimes you can find some unbelievable bargains. I've found Goodwill to be very good, but I encourage you to check out different stores in your area to see which are best for you.

I like Ann Taylor (or Ann Taylor Loft) for nicer clothes. I'm also a comfort person, so I buy a lot at Target, too. Tshirts that are a little girlier and nicer than Hanes. I also layer camisoles to either brighten a shirt or cover an area I might not like (they can help smooth you out, too). So if they're low-cut and you like them and like color, get a bright camisole for underneath. You might also want to check out Forever 21 for shirts with designs and stitching and stuff on them. Or Old Navy.
If you don't like short-sleeved button down shirts, what about 3/4 sleeve?
I'm not a big girl myself, so maybe those suggestions will help you. Don't be afraid to wear something a little closer to the body or to try on a lot of things or to go to a tailor and say, "I like the looseness in the armpit, but the sleeve is too long/it wears like a tent."
Have you tried Academy? Or Gander Mountain? Might be more your comfort zone and they have a good selection-ladies and boys.
Catos also is a small, less intimidating chain-check online for locations. Not a huge selection but that sounds like it might be part of your problem-too overwhelming when you go into a big store.
Or try online? Lands End has more modest styles and if you sign up for their emails they will send you their sale listings every week. That would bring the price down for you.
Target has cute and affordable.
Sometimes I just need one or two new things to wear when I need to be a little more dressed up to make me feel like I have a whole new wardrobe.
If all else fails-go back to Oklahoma for a visit and some shopping.

I love t-shirts :) Try shopping in the kids section (seriously). They fit the more feminine figures without paying a ton of extra money to special order stuff!
BTW, BEST white t-shirt EVER, buy small, men's HANES undershirts, v-neck :)
