Where are the best places to go to view fireworks for the 4th...we have a 3 and almost 6 year old. We live in the Sandy Springs area. Do we need to go downtown for fireworks, or is there somewhere else to view them?

What can I do next?

I don't like to get in the crowd situation, but Lenox Square has a HUGE fireworks show on the 4th -and that's closer to you than downtown.

They DO have fireworks at Centennial Park downtown on the4th, but if you want to drive out a bit, you may want to google some metro cities and towns. Some do big fireworks productions and most of the area lakes have fireworks on the 4th. Check out Marietta and Roswell.

Keswick Village has great family fireworks on July 3rd. It is located off Johnson Ferry/Ashford Dunwoody area. You can bring food and have a picnic and it is not as crowded as Lenox.
