I have a 100%ceramic flat iron, it wasn't a cheap one either. Well my son accidental dropped it and a little sliver cracked off. :( is there any kind of glue that could withstand the heat of a flat iron? It's not on the top of the plate but on the side where it's rounded. Of should I cut my loss on it and get a new one? TIA

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Added: the chipped peice is not on the top of the plate, it's on the side so even being chipped wont affect the top part at all.

My iron has settings at 310, 330, 360, & 400 degrees. Do a search for glue at those temperatures. I am going to guess that you should replace it if it affects the use of the iron. I wouldn't want the glue to melt in your hair!!!!

I agree with momwithcam you're going to probably have to toss it. Sorry.

if it doesn't affect the way it works on your hair don't worry about it .. usually the middle of the plate is where the flattening happens anyway :)

I wouldn't recommend glue on it. If it affects how it flattens your hair ... just get a new one.
