I am trying toloose weight, we are trying to have another baby and the I need to loose the weight from the first. I could not get pregant the first time went to doctors and tried pills and nothing work, so we final gave up and I started focusing on myself and lost wieght (45LBS) and we got pregant. We I had to go on bed rest and than I had the baby early go to and from hospital and working not eating right I gained 75 lbs. Short story I just do not have the time that I had before. My sone id 2 now and I do have a little more time but not much. My problem is that I need something that will help control my hunger all the time. Any ideas on food that will make me feel fuller longer.

We eat organic apples and bananas for snacks around our house and they make you feel satisfied for a longer amount of time than anything else we've tried.

My husband lost 40+ pounds by doing a 7 day colon clense and then eating better. (He started at about 190#) For breakfast he eats a bowl of organic cereal such as shredded oats. Mid morning he has a yogurt cup or an apple. For lunch we ALWAYS have a large meal. Salad, meat, potatoes, vegetables. Most is organic. In the afternoon (about 4) he has some toasted Ezekiel bread (cinamon/raison) with honey. Again, organic. At nightime we juice fresh vegetables and fruits. This seems to be the biggest help as we all seem to feel like snacking at bedtime. We usually juice carrots, apples, and celery. IT TASTES GREAT! You no longer feel hungry and in the morning you only need a small bowl of cereal because you fill up faster if you juiced the night before.

You just need to control your snacking urges. If you are hungry, grab some nuts or peacons. They are a very good scorce. They contain all the good fats and are actually good for you! I highly recomend juicing as well. It only takes us about 10 to 15 minutes each night to juice. You could juice multiple times a day if you wanted. We just went to Target and bought the Jack Lalaine power juicer for $100. We've been using the same juicer for about 2 1/2 years now. (It could use a new blade but we're still making due!) Our diet consists of about 90% organic and 10%conventional foods. I don't know if this for sure makes a difference but it makes me feel better knowing that my family is not eating high fructose corn syrup and pesticides.

Diets won't work. You need to maket the commitment to make a lifestyle change if you want to lose weight and be healthy. There is no magic pill that will do this for you. Good luck.

Try the full bar at www.fullbar.com It's supposed to have the same concept as stapling your stomach. The only thing that frustrates me when people start taking pills or start a new diet is that a lot of them decide not to follow it like they should because there is some part of it that they don't like. Then they don't lose weight like they thought they should (or as much weight) and decide they don't like that diet and try something else. Good luck with your weight loss and I hope you find something that works for you, just please make a healthy choice.

D., make sure you are eating a lot of high fiber foods, and that you're eating several small "meals" a day (5-6). I had the same problem feeling full, I felt like I was hungry all the time...after awhile I realized a lot of it was in my head, and a result of not eating the right foods. I ended up losing 20 lbs. and feel the best I have ever felt! I've always worked out, but it wasn't until I changed my eating habits that I was finally able to lose the weight that was creeping on.

I started eating a small "meal" every 2-2-1/2 hours, to keep my metabolism up and my blood-sugar level, and adding in a lot of high fiber foods, and it helped me feel full throughout the day. I felt like I was eating all day, but was actually losing weight, a great feeling! Also, foods that have a high water content, fruits and vegetables, etc. help "trick" the mind. My favorite foods are oranges, apples, broth-based soups, turkey-pickle-cheese rollups (w/ laughing cow wedges), etc. The less processed, the better.

Little changes can add up the most & have the biggest impact so try making a few small changes each week & you may be surprised at the results, and how easy it is to maintain! Also, if you're anything like me and can't resist chocolate or junk food if it's available, just get rid of it! that's the only way I am able to stay away from it, by having it not around!
