We love babes chicken in frisco off the tollway and main. They do the chicken dance and have family style dinner.

The Hibachi type restaurants are great entertainment for the kids and offer great food with a long meal for the family to be together - there is a fairly new one in Plano called Geisha's Hibachi (or something like that!) on George Bush we've been to a couple of times that is great - if you go before 7pm they have reduced prices and you can usually find a coupon somewhere. We love Magic Time Machine for the kids too in Addison. Kobe Steaks (another Hibachi) in Addison is also great. If you want something really casual - the Purple Cow is really great - fun for the kids and nostolgic for the grandparents - I've only been to the one in Dallas (several times and love it!) but there is one in Plano too looks like around Spring Creek & Preston - its a diner style burger place with lots of milkshakes featuring a purple milkshake. If you have older kids I would consider something like The Melting Pot - so much fun! I wouldn't do it with small kids though - too much trouble. Its in Addison. Medievial Times might be fun - I haven't been, but I think they do some kind of big feast then a joust? Another suggestion that doesn't have much to do with dinner :) - If they are going to be here during the day on Monday or Tuesday, you must take them and the kids (if they aren't in school) otherwise just them to the Dallas Arboretum - it is stunning right now with the pumpkin village - they have a enourmous pumpkin patch with 4 walk-through houses made of pumpkins with fairytales themes from fairytales with pumpkins in them! They also on Mon & Tues have lots of activites for kids. They do have places on site to eat, though I always think its fun to pack a picnic lunch - sometimes I just go to Central market, pick out a few great salads & sandwichs and pack them in a bag and make a picnic on the big grassy area between all the beautiful flowers! I highly recommend the experience I you or your parents haven't been. http://www.dallasarboetum.org. If the kiddos aren't with you they also have an awesome harvest tea! Hope that gives you some ideas! Have fun and happy Halloween!!!

We looooove Babes too! If you're celebrating a bday it's a spectacle for all. The waitresses will sing and dance during the meal. It's byob too.
Magic time machine is pricier but worth the fun. Also, if you call Bucca di Beppo and request, you can sit in their kitchen to eat and watch.
Have fun!!

Gatties town in Frisco I think has Moms eat free on Monday night. My parents like going to Dave and Busters because the kids can play and the adults can eat and have an adult beverage!!!

Not in Plano/Frisco area, but I highly recommend Magic Time Machine in Addison!! So much fun:D If you don't know about it, the waiters/waitresses dress up as charcters (mermaid, Capt'n Jack Sparrow, Spiderman...). The tables are fun and very unique!

In Grapevine, Rainforest Cafe.
