I have a two and a three year old, and they both are quite hams, but there was this one incident when we were all heading out to the store, and I made a comment to my husband that I was not going to drive...well he responded back with..." well we'll just let Brian drive."( Brian- our 3 yr. old son). To which Brian responds on que with..." Well mommy, I can't drive, cuz I have to be in my carseat!" It was so sweet and sincere, I guess you had to be there.

My son, Keaton, at 2-1/2 years old, always corrected us if we said something wrong. We were shopping one day and my husband gave Keaton a scone to eat. As I handed Keaton his sippy cup I told him that he needed to take a drink of water because his mouth was soooo full of scone. Through all the food in his mouth (absolutely as full as it could get) he tells me "It's not water; it's apple juice!" He had pieces of dry scone spitting out of his super dry, super full mouth and it took him a while to get the words out through all the food...but he sure set me straight. Lol. Shows you the length toddlers will go through to be bossy!

My son does MANY funny things but one he has been doing lately is whenever I give him something he says "Thank You Welcome Mommy Daddy" It's so funny. He is 2 and I guess just thinks that all goes together.

He also just started this one. I take birth control pills every night and now everytime he takes a drink from his cup he "pops a pill" It is so funny to watch but I end up explaining that one a lot.

The other day we were shopping and I had him in a "car" cart that you rent at the mall. This lady walked by us and said Hi to him and he stood up and yelled "WHATEVER" it was a little embarassing and I have no idea where he learned that word. It is not one I use often. the lady thought it was extrememly funny and I overheard her telling everyone she saw about it.

He also will NOT let daddy kiss me at all. He yells NO DADDY, and then turns my face to kiss me on the cheek. I'm not sure why Daddy can't kiss me. He always laughs and thinks it's funny to stop daddy from kissing me.

The other day I was trying to teach him to sing Happy Birthday to my stepmom and in the middle of me singing it he stood up and yelled "STOP IT". I guess he didn't like my singing.

This is a great idea. Here's mine:

-One day, when I was pregnant with my second, I was sitting at the Kitchen table with my 3yr old daughter eating lunch. We were talking about something or the other. We got onto the subject of eating and teeth. I told her that her sister won't have teeth for awhile so won't be able to eat like us right away. Then I said something about when she was a baby. She looked me dead in the eye and said "I was a baby once?"

I about fell out of chair laughing so hard. It was so cute the way she said it, too. You could her the shock in her voice.

-My 3yr old has a step stool in front of the bathroom sink. One day she was being goofy as usual and fell off of it. (She didnt' hurt herself, though). Well, my then two month old daughter was sitting just outside of the bathroom in her bouncer seat. Would you believe, she actually started laughing at her sister. LOL. I started laughing, too, and told my oldest "Your sister is laughing at you." Then she started laughing about it as well.

I guess it starts early for siblings to get a kick out of the other getting "hurt."

My hubby is a stay at home dad with our 3 1/2 month old son. He's still figuring out what to do to get our son to stop crying during the day and he came up with what he calls the airplane arm - which is baby tummy down on dads forearm with his head aimed backwards (near the elbow-pit) and swinging back and forth. Anyway... the other day I came home and he said, no more airplane arm for Riley! I was worried he'd hurt himself or something scary had happened... but he said everyone was OK but then he pulled his sleeve back to show me that he given daddy a hickey! :) Dad said he thought he was just slobbering 'cause he started teething but then it started to hurt! Yikes.

My older son (he's 2 1/2 yrs old) loves to do crazy things to make you laugh.

He will run around yelling nonsensical words and rolling his eyes just to get you to notice him and laugh with him.

He also loves to say "YAY" to everything he does right. "YAY bathtime, YAY naptime, etc"

My kids are so funny at times and it make me sad because there dad was'nt around to see most of these sute things. well here is one that my son does. whenever me and my daughter are singing he'll look at us like "what are they doing? they call that singing?" but when he is singing he goes to get the turky baster and sing the itsy bitsy spider song like this " Itsy-bitsy-spi----der! Went up the wa----ter!" and moves his body back and forth to the beet of "der" and "ter" after the to sentances and that's all he knows of the song but keeps singing it over and over again. such a crak up. he's gonna be an entertainer when he grows up, I can just tell.

My daughter will say my insteat of I example"My want water" She does the sutest things sometimes and it's so funny to hear her talk because se is a drama queen and she can make cleaning her toys sound like a national disater hit.

Last Christmas we bought my son The Polar Express and he loved it! He would watch it everyday and while he was watching he would be "making hot chocolate" the whole time. He to this day loves to make us hot chocolate. He is constantly "cooking" he'll hand you some "pizza" and right before you pretend to eat the imaginary food he takes it away and eats it himself. It's so cute. He has asked that Santa bring him a coffee maker for chistmas. He's my little Bobby Flay. :)

Shawna, I like your idea to share funny/cute things.

When my granddaughter was around that age she had a Tigger toy that jumped when you pressed down on it's head. She would squat, push the head down, and then jump with it giggling the whole time, sometimes losing her balance and falling down. She's 6 and still sometimes flops down, only now on her back and on a soft surface, when she's trying to be funny.

The first time I saw her do this was in the airport and she had quite an audience. I certainly was the grinning, proud grandma.

my apartment is set up like a round-about. you can go from the living room, to the kitchen, to the hallway, then back into the living room. every so often, my son will run this circle, repeatedly for about 3 or 4 minutes at a time yelling anything that pops into his head. once he ran around for about 3 minutes saying "i put my socks on" over and over. i was almost in tears i was laughing so hard.
