Looking for games to send to my siblings' families as a holiday gifts. Something they can all enjoy together. The kids are between ages of 18-24, in or recently out of college. They are all smart alecs and I've thought about Cards Against Humanity but since I've never played it, think it might be too raunchy to play as a family. Also looked at Awkward Family Photos (the game) and Would You Rather?... cards. Any ideas for games that would be hip and fun for all but not too offensive (a little is ok:-)?
My family loves Cards against Humanity, but we're all weirdos.
There is a great youtube show starring Wil Wheaton called Tabletop. He demonstrates games by playing them on the show. It's a good way to get a feel for a game before you buy it. http://geekandsundry.com/shows/tabletop/
He has Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride in season 1, both we bought because of Tabletop.
Apples to apples is fun and appropriate.
Cards Against Humanity is too raunchy to be played as a family game.
We used to love Scattergories when I was that age ... Or trivial pursuit, apples to apples, anything by Cranium ... Or, send a few decks of cards and a book of Hoyle card games. We still love card games the best.

I have always loved Taboo. It is so much fun - in college and for a few years after, my friends and I played all the time. Classics like Pictionary and Trivial Pursuit are good, too. Apples to Apples can be fun, too. I haven't heard of the ones you mentioned (except Would you rather, which I haven't played)
We like Apples to Apples and Catch Phrase.
"Cards against Humanity" is the really hot game right now. Perfect for Smart alecs.. You can only purchase it online.. long story.. But yes, it can be embarrassing.

Apples to Apples. That game can get REAL interesting, depending on who's playing. It can be completely clean, or horribly raunchy. I've played it both ways.
Killer Bunnies. Geared more towards younger kids, but my husband and I still enjoy it.
Squarrels. Lots of fun, my friend developed and markets it. It has aspects of War, Slap Jack, and Old Maid to it.
Catch Phrase and/or Taboo are also fun.
Forbidden Island too. That's more of a strategy game than a smart alec game.
My college student likes Apples To Apples, Cards Against Humanity and Blokus.
