I'm with Manda. Lasering is so much better, and it's permanent.
That being said, I can't imagine having laser done for a full Brazilian. What if you end up not liking it? What if all of it doesn't go away? You would be forever having to tweeze out hairs that show up. I have no interest in looking like a little girl again, so for me, the draw is looking "kept".
Instead of a Brazillian, why don't you put on your favorite thong or bikini and wear it to the waxer? Have her wax you so that nothing shows outside of it. Then see what you think. That's what I did. My husband and I kind of "decided together" on what was natural looking and nice. Kind of an upside down triangle for me...
Then I went and had laser treatment done using the outline I decided I liked after trying waxing. The laser treatment worked great to get rid of all the unwanted hair and leave what I wanted. Even though laser treatment is expensive, it's really cheaper in the long run because you're done and that's it. I had it done for my underarms and legs too. I haven't shaved in 4 years.
About hurting - yes it hurts. Both procedures do. Awkward? Yes. But the ladies are professionals.
Make sure the place is clean. NO double-dipping in the wax with the sticks. Look around the room. There should be no wax drippings on the walls or floor. If there is, leave. The last thing you want is an infection.
Here's what I hated about the waxing. It would hurt for a week and I'd have little red bumps. I'd look great for a week, and then week 3, I'd be growing it out and it was itchy. Week 4 I'd end up going back in for it all over again. I also worried about the thin skin always being "ripped at". Kind of worrisome.
You do have to let it grow out enough for the wax to pull it out. They'll tell you how much on the phone before you go.
Btw, if you are blonde, don't bother doing laser treatments. It doesn't work on blonde hair...
