I am leading a team for the March for Babies walk this year (last year was my first year), and I have a couple fundraisers planned. One is a fundraiser on March 18 at Big Boy on M59/Garfield. They give us 15% of the profits from anyone that dines for the fundraiser. The catch is they have to bring in the flyer that I get from Big Boy. So, I will definitely be sending it by email. I am not sure how else I should get it out. I can't stand at the store to pass them out. Any suggestions that would be the best bang for my time? Also, do you have any other fundraiser ideas that I could get done before April 26th? I am already doing a Euchre tourney and worked out a deal with Mary Kay, Tastefully Simple, and Close to My Heart consultants to get part of their profits through the end of Feb. Thanks for all your responses. I am going to try everything suggested! I might have to look into the rest stop one for next year. They are all worth a shot. This economy is really hurting organizations like March of Dimes, so anything that gives people soemthing in return sounds like a good way to go!
Check out http://www.discs4dollars.com They take old CDs and DVDs and give you cash for them. They rehab and resell them to keep them out of the landfills - and you get $$!
The site has letters that you can just modify and send out to friends, neighbors and families. You could even just have people bring their old discs to the other events that you have planned. They just need to have the cases and original artwork.

You may want to contact a few local schools about your fundraiser and flyer. There may be a few who are willing to send a copy home with students or have a pile available in their main office.

My son & I had this great experience when traveling to NY & NJ. At a rest area stop along turnpike 80, there was this great group of people who had a very large tent set up. They were serving coffee, tea, juices, water & fruit & baked goods. All the drinks were free or a kind donation. Baked goods were minimal costs or a donation.
It was the best fund raiser I've come across yet. It was so helpful to those of us on the road who really needed a kind word & energizing lift (with the fruit that is)!
The kids were working with the parents & it was an all around good thing.

a great way to get the information out is to go to your local school administration office and see if they can send it home with all the students. i'm a disabled person who can not get out to help you however i would be more than glad to call the local school numbers to see what you have to do to send the flyers home with the students. another great resource is your local paper will run the flyer in their paper. i can call them and see what youneed to do. have you tried your local cable and radio to get the word out? my e mail is ____@____.com if you would be interested in letting me call and help you.
