There are 10 ladies going for a 1 night get away. We have been asked to bring 10 small items that could fit in a grab bag. Someone suggested bringing packages of gum, or chacolate. I would like to bring something fun and different.

Forgot to mention... We are 10 ladies who go to church together. I mean most of us are young enough to enjoy some of the fun items suggested, but I am thinking we need to keep it on the up and up... :-)
So my coworker gets magazines of all sorts, she brought them for me to give to the girls. (Love JB) I am also going to get some rich dark chocolate to go with them!

Have you seen those nail files that look like a matchbook? Those are cool! Or sample size lotion, lipgloss, fingernail polish, book mark, mini notepad and pen, seed packet, bag of microwave popcorn...
nail polish in crazy colors, sunglasses, temporary tattoos, small liqueur bottles, tote bags,chocolate....
Are you at all crafty? When I get together with friends from college sometimes whoever is organizing heads to the dollar store to get some wine glasses, shot glasses, martini glasses, whatever you are into. She gets one for each of us and then decorates them with our name or girls weekend or whatever. Cute little keepsake for the weekend and it also keeps us from getting our glasses confused all weekend!
The individual sample sizes of bath and body lotion or shower gels.
Go to Elf (eyeslipsface.com) and order some fun make-up/polish. There is an entire line for $1 each.
How bout some edible panties?? LOL - that would be funny!! They can take them home to surprise their hubbies with ~
I'd check the travel section at your local drugstore. Maybe lip balm or a package of make-up removal towelettes...something like that?
How about a pedicure kit? You can include polish, a nail file and toe separaters.
Michaels has dollar bins (actually $1.50 now, I think) that have little stationary packs - 10 notecards and matching envelopes. I also really like some of the flavored Starbucks Vias.
How about small scented candles, magnets, hair ties, hair clips, tiny perfume bottles, tiny body sprays, sachet bags, fun summer sunglasses, simple bracelets, reusable chop sticks, pretty pens, buff puffs. Check the travel size section at the store for small items.

Well, I don't wear nail polish, do the other gals? Not everyone likes the same colors. What about the little pocket bac's from Bath and Body works? It's those little antibacterial hand cleansers and they have cute holdeds that you can get for them that allow you to attach them to your bag. I would love to get one of those in a grab bag
I like the small liquor bottle idea...fun! I was also going to suggest nail polish or bottles of hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works. They are usually around a dollar each and come in yummy scents...those are my favorite sanitizers! Starbuck's Via was also a cute idea and very different! I also thought of those Bonnie Bell Lip Smackers. They are old school and fun, and I always sneak my daughters so people would probably like them!
Walk around the Dollar store. I purchased favors for a baby shower there and guests enjoyed the candles, lotion, etc.
Some things that were part of our wedding:
- feather boas found on ebay (6 for $10, I think), worn around during the reception by the wedding party
- items in gift bags given to girl-friends who helped with wedding (makeup, hair, moral support) were high heeled bottle openers, heart shaped salt & pepper shakers, heart shaped mirror compacts

You don't mention if the grab bags are for the weekend or to take home afterwards. If they're for the get-away, you could get some cute costume jewelry for everyone to wear. They could be fun - gaudy rings, baubly necklaces or silly silk flowers for your hair - or cute, depending on what you're doing...
