I take my niece shopping every year to buy presents for her family. This year she has not saved as much as she would like so we are going to try to make a few gifts as well. She would like to make something for her grandpa and older uncles especially, they are harder to buy for.Any ideas would be great.
I would say have her make them somthing like the clay garden stone you put your hands in and paint... such a memory and for her too because everything i made for my grandfather i got back one day and cherished it again and put it in my own garden.... hope this helps... you could go to your local goodwill/ thrift store, purchase a couple old picture frames.. paint them, decorate w/ buttons or craft beads, etc and give as gifts..

you can get lots of craft ideas at hobby lobby.. she could paint a birdhouse (they sell unpainted wooden birdhouses starting at 1.99)... they all kinds of cool wooden stuff
or she could decorate a frame and put a picture of her with whoever inside of the frame
Hi A., Merry Christmas. Well I think its wonderful what you are doing with your niece. You will treasure this time forever. I did the same with my nephew, niece and friends children for years, parents and grandparents, all truly appreciate whatever it is they receive. So many things, but wasn't sure of the age of your niece, I am guessing older since she has money. If you could get shadow boxes, then collect photos of the receive of each gift and make a shadow box with like; photo of them fishing, make a fishing pole to include in it, a small stuff fish. Sometime to that, hope you understand what I was getting at, ha ha. Best wishes
