My straightener went out this week and I have been using my DD. I really want a Chi but cant bring myself to spend 100.00 on one. I know how great they work so I may have to splurge. Has anyone found a good deal on one or do you have something that is comparable but a little less expensive? The cheapest I have found the Chi is 80.00 right now at JCP- maybe Santa will bring it :) Thanks for the help

What can I do next?

$40 at Traders Village in Grand Prairie. It's the real deal. I don't know how they do it. I dont really want to know! But they are new in the box for $40. I don't know if you've ever been to Traders but it rocks! It's a huge outdorr flea market open only on weekends. It's off 360 and Mayfield.

I would definitely spend the money on a Chi. I got one a few years ago for Christmas and LOVE it! I have very curly hair and it's the *only* straightener I like. Before that I used many different cheap ones, and got what I paid for. I think the cheapest I have seen them is about $80 on sale. It is well worth it!

I know it won't be as good as the chi, but I got the Con-Air straightener from Target for $29.99. I've had it for years. It does a great job on my hair, but my hair is not curly, so I use it more to tame my hair from some waves. It gets so hot and with the ceramic tiles I only have to do one pass through my hair. I don't know if Wal-Mart sells the Chi, but with everything I needed to buy this holiday season, I've gotten amazing deals at Wal-Mart.

I bought one for my daughter last Christmas at JC Penney for $80ish. They had a coupon in the Sunday paper and I used it.

Also, Bed Bath and Body sells them (I believe) and they always have coupons in the paper and mail for 20% off 1 item.

Just remember, y ou get what you pay for and Chi is worth the $$

I think TJ Maxx has that brand for around 30 to 40 bucks.

I got a Chi off Overstock about 3 weeks ago for $79. I think I paid $2.95 shipping. It is SO worth it. I had a Wigo that I paid about $60 for several years ago, and my hair would get caught in it, and I would have to go over the same section a few times to get it straight.

I am so happy with the Chi. It slides smoothly down your hair, and you only have to go over each section once. Worth the money!

i am waiting for the same thing. i saw it last year at costco (around this time) for 69, and i still kick myself for not buying it (i thought santa would get me one. he didn't). what i have done now is put a price i want it for (50) at camelcamelcamel.com and whichever website discounts the chi to that price i will get an email notifications. maybe you could do the same. i knowamazon price goes up and down but it purchasing through amazon, the warranty is for one month only.
