I have a 06 Subaru Forester that needs a tune up. Dealerships are so expensive. I live in San Ramon, does anyone have a mechinic they would recommend?

I don't see any replies for your question, so I hope this might help you. We have had good luck with the staff at the Shell Station auto shop at Santa Rita and Valley Ave in Pleasanton. They seem honest and have done good work in the past for much less than our local dealership. We don't have a Subaru, but I think they can work on any car.
Yes, I second the one mentioned above. It belongs to one of my mother-in-laws neighbors and can be trusted.

Congrats!! I also have twin boys! Mine are 4 now. My hubby and I have a window tinting business (Calit Tint) in Dublin on Dougherty Rd. We have this guy in the next shop over that does EVERYTHING I'm sure you've heard of it...Quality tune up. Check them out they are not too expensive either. Good luck w/ the boys.

I highly recommend AutoTech near Sponges in San Ramon. Troy (the owner) and Dave run a reputable shop that provides quality service at reasonable prices. They make recommendations for future service, indicating the relative urgency to address certain items, without badgering you to "take care of it today". They have a quick turnaround and offer a courtesy shuttle. You can google them to find their new website. Good luck!
We really like our mechanic. Ashton Auto on Dublin Blvd. I appreciated that he is always straight forward and never talked down to me like some mechanics will with women. He did a great job for years on our Jeep. I now have a Toyota that is under warranty still and I take it to the dealership, but I would go back to him when my warranty runs out.
