Anyone know any good products for cradle cap? My 13 month old has really bad cradle cap and she also has sensitive skin. What are some of the best products for cradle cap and sensitive skin?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

The head and shoulders is working great and seems to be helping her not to pull her hair so much since the cradle cap is going away! Two washes with it elliminated quite a bit of the cradle cap. We plan to keep using it on her till it is all the way gone! Thanks everyone!

Olive oil. Put it on for a bit to soak in and use a baby brush or really soft veggie brush to rub it off and then wash her hair with the gentlest shampoo.

Try Aquaphor. You can find it at most drug stores in the lotion section. We tried olive oil and it just made it worse. Our pediatrician recommended Aquaphor so we tried it and we LOVE it!

My pediatrician always recommended a dandruff shampoo since cradle cap is essentially child dandruff. I don't know if they make a "sensitive" shampoo..also if you use it be careful since that is NOT "tearfree"!! I used Head & Shoulders on both my kids...it takes a while but it worked for us! Good luck!

I worked in a salon for 13 years. We always suggested using baby oil to loosen the flakes and gently brush them until the are gone. Then wash the hair carefully with a gentle baby shampoo. Paul Mitchel has a great one.

Be careful to always rinse all the shampoo out of the hair, it is one of the biggest culprits of cradles cap.
