J.,
Here is what we do. Put 6(? or more to your taste) tea bags into a pitcher. Boil a tea kettle of water. Pour water over tea bags until pitcher is about 1/3 full. Cover pitcher with foil and let steep for about 10 minutes. Pull out tea bags. Add honey, stevia, sugar to taste if desired. Fill pitcher with ice. Add lemon or lime slices if desired.
Sometimes we use flavored green tea blends( like green tea and lemon) or roasted green tea, which has more of a coffee-esque or chicory type flavor. I like Tazo organic teas. My husband like Salada green tea with purple antioxidents (fortified with grapeskin, red tea, vit. C, and blueberry. For "soda" mix iced teas with plain seltzer.
It's really just a big experiment to find what you like. You'll have some flops, but it's fun to create your own recipe.
Best wishes.
