My son is 2 yrs old and I am looking for a hair gel that is safe for him. He is constantly running his fingers though his hair so I am looking for something that is non-toxic but effective. Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thank you so much for all of your responses! I found a cheap hair gel at CVS - LA Looks Sport - that contains no alcohol and is not sticky. I will give it a try and see what happens.

Check out Lori's if you want a "product". Wegmans probably has such in their natural section as well.

Hi J.,

My son is 2 & 1/2 and I use Aloe Vera Gel to keep his hair in place. It's not super firm, so if your son runs his fingers thru his hair as often as my son does, his hair won't stay-put all day, but it will help. You can find it in the sunscreen section of the drugstore and it's cheaper if they have a store brand. Good luck!

J.,

Depending on his hair type and how much hold he needs a tiny bit of vaseline or baby oil might do the trick. If you don't use too much it will not make the hair greasy.
