If you guys are into sports, you could do football (dad as a football player, mom as cheerleader and baby as a football or an umpire?) or baseball, hockey, etc.

I saw a cute group one time with the parents wearing orange safety vests and construction worker clothes and the kids dressed as orange traffic cones (I admit, it doesn't sound cute in this description but I thought it was hilarious).

Good luck!

We did a Cat in the Hat theme, where hub was Cat, I was the fish and my son and daughter were thing 1 and thing 2. Get rid of fish idea and you can be thing 1... We put blue hairspray and freaked their hair out, and i sewed thing1 and 2 on red sweatshirts w/ red sweatpants and socks, it turned out pretty cute.

For my niece's first Halloween, my sister-in-law came up with the idea of my niece being a peapod and they were farmers. It was too cute!

Hi S.~
What about super heroes?? My 4 yr old son suggested this to me & my husband this year...Actually he wanted him & my 7month old daughter to dress up together!! My son was 9 months at his first Halloween, and we found him a Spiderman Costume. That way, maybe your husband will be more likely to do it?? You don't all have to be the same superhero, but there are many male & female superheroes out there. Keep looking around, it sounds like a really fun idea!!

A herd of cows. There are cow costumes everywhere and they are totally affordable.

Good luck

Last year we had a Star Wars theme. My husband was Luke Skywalker, I was Princess Leia, and our 1-year-old son was Yoda.

Hi S.,

How about Barney, Betty and Bam Bam Rubble? Or how about a vampire family or Devil man, she devil and little devil?

You should take a look at some costume websites and see what kind of kids costumes they have that they also have adult ones??

I think Barney, Betty and Bam-Bam would be great!!! But I'm a big fan of the Flinstones!!

Good luck and whatever you pick they will look great!!

Take care,

N.

Blueman Group - blue face paint blue swim cap for you and your hub, so you can get the bald effect, and black clothing.

My husband wants to do the Kiss Band with the four of us. I told him, as long as he finds someone to do te facepaint and we can purchase black wigs.

I liked that suggestion about a farmer and a scarecrow with the corn. Last year, I was a scarecrow and my 7 month old was a crow. I made the costumes and they were super super simple. Send me a message if you'd like pictures/directions.
