Old Navy will have great ones for very reasonable prices. Rest assured no matter where you find one, pretty much everything for that age is a plush, zip-up outfit that may have a hood.
I'm looking for recommendations for places to get a cute Halloween costume (other than Babies R Us...I like their stuff, just want to explore all my options) for my son who will be 8 months at that time. While I'm not interested in paying an arm and a leg for something, I also don't want something off the rack from Dominick's or Jewel either. My son obviously isn't going to be walking around getting candy, but we will be taking pictures so I don't really want the whole 'plastic mask/plastic sheet that slips over the head' that is reminiscent of my childhood Halloweens! I also have zero experience with sewing so making my own costume is not exactly an option either.
So moms - where did you find costumes?

I've had great luck at babystyle.com; the quality of their costumes far exceeds what I've seen at other retail outlets and the prices are very reasonable. Happy Shopping!
I agree that Old Navy has cute costumes. My daughter had their frog costume last year and it was great quality and relatively cheap. Also Children's Place has cute ones for the really young kids. Again, my daughter was a pumpkin with their costume (plush and padded - adorable!) her first Halloween. I've also seen some cute ones at Gymboree.
Walgreens and thrift shops have been very good to us.
