HI moms! I have a son about to turn 11 (in October) and a 14 month old lil girl. I am wanting to find something more that we can all do as a family that we would all enjoy, besides walking around the neighborhood collecting candy ;o) Also, I would like to dress up too!! ;o) Any ideas or suggestions about what's going on in the midcities area this year?!
Thanks ladies! ;o)

What can I do next?

My friend made her little girl a bumble bee, she made a huge beehive hair-do and was was the beehive, and dad was the bee-keeper.

I love the idea of families dressing up together! You could do a theme like Wizard of Oz, that gives the 11 year old some choices, or Star Wars, or Lord of the Rings, it really depends on what your family is in to. We're sci-fi/fantasy nerds so ours is usually along those lines. Our daughter really wants to be Jessie from Toy Story this year so I'm trying to talk my husband into being Buzz Lightyear and his twin into being Woody. I'm sure I could pull off Bo Peep or something. :-)

How about "Boo at the Zoo" at the Fort Worth Zoo? The dates and times should be on their website.

First Baptist Church Euless has a HUGE parking lot "Trunk or Treat" every year. Along with getting candy, there's live music and tons of other things to do. I would imagine the info is also available on their website.

Have a great day!

Homestead Farms in Keller usually has a small pumpkin patch. They have activities for the kids too including a small petting zoo and the kids get to plant something. It's great if you aren't wanting to drive too far out. The people that own it are extremely nice and love showing kids around the farm. And I haven't been yet, but I have heard that the flower mound pumpkin patch is well worth the drive. We will be going this year, we got rained out last year.

My family was planning on dressing the kids as hot dogs and my husband & I Ketchup and mustard.
You can totally steal this idea if you want. I doubt we'll run into one another - LOL!

R.,
My neighbors dressed as the Addams family one Halloween. The costumes were easy. The son, 18 yr old and over 6ft at the time, was Pugsley. You could be Morticia. I guess you need one more person to be Gomez. Maybe you borrow a dog or something.
Have a great Halloween!
