One answer may be petfinder.com. It's mostly used by pet shelters, etc. but there is a classifieds area for individuals such as yourself seeking to find homes for their pets. You can find all sorts of animals on there. You plug in what animal you have, where you're at, etc. and then wait for someone to contact you. Also keep trying craigslist, and if you have it in your area, freecycle. That's actually how I got my hams. A local breeder that usually sold to our petstore had extras because the petstore was full so she put them up on one of our local free exhanges.
If I understand correctly, you bought a pregnant female? That actually happens a lot because pet stores often can't tell the sexes apart or just don't bother to try (it's actually quiet obvious if one takes the time to look) so males & females can be in the same cage. It's completely irresponsible of the pet stores to do that but most just don't care. It's often better to find a local breeder. Have you done that? They may be able to help you find a home for your little ones. She only had two babies? Or is that all that's survived? How old are they? To get you help in that area and maybe even adoption, try hamsterhideout.com These guys are passionate about their hams and the people on there are very knowledgeable. If nothing else works, I would take the babies to your local animal shelter when they're old enough to be separated from mum. Good luck!
