Do you celebrate? or are you planning anything fun?.... we aren't but we have T-ball practice tonight and I eat Mexican food fairly often anyway. My work is having food brought in for us so that is Yummy! Just thought it would be fun to know...

Going to a Cinco party at Betos Mexican Restaurant after work. They block off the whole parking lot, put up white tents and have live music, cold Corona, decent Tex-Mex. Usually they get a pay per view fight or at least a basketball playoff game going on a huge outdoor projection screen. It's a great party that I look forward to every year.
Hey Rachel.....yeah? So? What's wrong with that??????? :)
I got up at 5:30am this morning to make guacamole for the DH's taco party at work. We had Tex Mex lastnight, so taking a break from the Mexican food today.
My son has a baseball game tonight so we made most delicious fish tacos with rice, beans & Corona for dinner last night! Yumm-ola!
It's a baseball night here so hot dogs & hamburgers on the grill!
HECK yeah im celebrating ITS MY BIRTHDAY
Today is one of our best friends son's birthday so we celebrate his birthday and Cinco de Mayo at the same time. His mom is from Mexican decent so it is a lot of fun. Although I can tell you it is going to hurt in the morning
Yeah!
I don't only celebrate because I was born in Mexico, Puebla, but I also celebrate any day that represents a town willing to defend their country.
Funny thing, I am going out to eat Mexican food and not really cooking my self, what kind of celebration would be if I have to cook, lol.
Happy 5 de Mayo!, or like our president said:
Happy cinco de cuatro! (Happy 5 of 4), lol.
Cooking up Mexican food.
FYI: Today is also "Boy's Day" per Japanese culture.

So, celebrating for my Son too!
Anyone can celebrate these events!
My husband is from mexico and we always have a few of the best mexican beer ever- coronas!!!**
tracy k- I used to live in th apts behind betos and they would close our street iff for the party! Now that was fun!
I am actually dreading going out. In our town we have lots of DUI checkpoints and it takes forever to get somewhere. The biggest one is one stop light down from the freeway off ramp...it will actually be backed up on the freeway just because of it.
I will be doing all my shopping early and staying in. =)
Happy bday Sarah K!
We don't celebrate it. I think a lot of people in this country use is it as excuse to drink just like they do on St pattys day.
We go out for Mexican food on a real regular basis so not sure we will tonight since those places will be packed. It hadn't really crossed my mind since I'm sick right now and don't feel like going anywhere. But yesterday I heard something for the first time that really made me laugh. Did you know yesterday was "STAR WARS DAY".. May the fourth be with you.
We don't celebrate, but we will never forget Cinco de Mayo! 10 years ago today actually, my best friend met her future hubby at a bar and 2 years later at their wedding, they introduced me to my future hubby! It will always be a special day to all 4 of us!
Celebrating too, It's mine and my DH's 4th anniversary!
