Hi there - I want to have hardwood flooring put in my upstairs and am looking for recommendations on someone who is bonded, licensed and insured and would love someone who has a BBB accreditation. I've had some bad experiences with workers lately so I'm only considering high quality workers with references. Thanks much!

So What Happened?

I ended up going with Klis Flooring, which I found on Craigslist. See my excellent review of them. I HIGHLY recommend them. Their bid was $4K lower than the two others I got; they had the exact type of wood I was looking for (rustic, wide plank) and they did a beautiful job with attention to detail. I am SO pleased. They took a little longer than they initially estimated, but for the price and the quality of the work - totally worth it. http://www.klisflooring.com/index.html

My son works with a top flooring expert who does beautifiul work, which I have seen. If you'd like to give him a call to get the name, that's fine. Just tell him his Mom gave you his number. Ron, at ###-###-####.

Whatever you do, don't use Luna. We have had an extremely bad time with them. Try Progressive Contractors,

I'm not sur if they do hardwood floors, but they have done painting, roofing, and staining of our deck. They seem to do everything. Mark Meeker is great to work with.

i have had SO much bad luck with workers too. I brought in almost a dozen people when we had ours done. Check out Fabian's Flooring in new lenox. we live in naperville and they came out and quoted and installed hardwood we bought from lumber liquidators and tile from lowes. good installation price, very professional, excellent work, good turnaround too. they also have a showroom with a lot of options, but we had already picked out our stuff.

I would recommend giving Ray Horan with Buff and Coat a call at ###-###-####. They do installation. I know, like and trust him. If you'd like me to have him contact you, send me a private message with your contact info.
