Has Anyone Tried the Turbo-Snake?

Hi everyone. I was wondering about the Turbo-Snake device that was being sold on TV to clear hair out of the sink drain. I ordered online over a month ago (I even have an order number) but never received it, and looking back they didn't charge me for it, either. Now I'm wondering if I should try again to order it, or if there's a similar device I can buy in a store. Have any of you used it, and does it work well or would it be a waste of money? Is it better than using Drano every couple of weeks? Many thanks! *Peace*! ~M.

So What Happened?

Hi everyone! I just wanted you to know, I finally got my Turbo Snake order (it took the company forever to fulfill my order, I should complain but I'm too busy) and tried it on my very slow drain and it brought nothing up. I've tried it on several more occasions but nothing comes up at all, and my drain is still very slow. Drano makes it faster but it eventually becomes very slow again (the sink will fill and I have to leave the room for a half-hour for it to drain.) So, I no longer know what to do. I put the Turbo Snake as far as it will go but I don't think it bends around the "U" of the drain, just goes to the bottom of the "U" ... any other advice? Thankies. *Peace*!

I bought it at Wal-Mart the other day. Over in the plumbing aisle they have stuff similar for cheaper too, but I like that you don't gave to take the stopper out of the sink to use it. It works for what you would expect - just clears the obvious out of the drain. I'll ask my husband if he was impressed.

I bought this cool little plastic thing from walmart that is about 2 ft long and cost about $1.75. It's a long piece of thin plastic with little backward hooks on it and you just put it down the drain and then pull it back out and all the hair and gunk gets caught on the hooks and comes right out. I works great for the tub and the sink and no harsh chemicals.

Walmart has them but I have found a small plunger that is awesome. So every couple weeks when I clean the bathrooms I use the little the little plumger for sinks and I haven't had a problem since. Drano is really bad for your pipes and the enviornmant. There is a vinigar baking soda mixture that does the same thing.

Try the Zip-It. Is only a couple bucks & works better than anything i have every seen. You can find it at Walmart. Menards, Home Depot etc.

It really works & you will be totaly disgusted by what it pulls out of your drains.
