I got mine at Costco and they are awesome! Put away winter clothes and bedding under the bed and keep cabinets open for other stuff.
Hi Moms,
I have very limited space and am now once again trying to shove all of our heavier blankets back into my main storage closet. I have been curious about those space saving bags that compact themselves when you vacuum the air out. I am reluctant to buy them because I am afraid they will be a sham. If anyone has them please let me know if they really work, because if they do you cannot imagine how happy I will be.
Thanks.
C.

Love them! I also have stored all my kids stuffed animals that they will not part with. Otherwise they will take over the room. You can use them over and over again.
They do work, but...I had clothes in there for about 5 years because I forgot about it under the bed and when I opened it up, the shirt that was near the vacuum hole had a hole eaten through it. As well, all elastic was ruined.
They ROCK! Even have my wedding dress in one. The only problem would be if one had a hole in it, then they don't seal right. I only had that happen with one bag.
They work! I was reluctant to buy them at first too but to my surprise they worked really well. I have blankes and comforters stored under the bed!
I learned that trick in the USMC, rolling my clothes up & using ziplock bags & sitting on them. I STILL use that trick when traveling. Hehehe, I actually had twice the number of clothes as my sister, on a recent trip to Rome, but I had mine in a little hiking backpack and she had a ginormous backpack AND a bag.
The machines make it a LOT easier to do big items like blankets. If you're in a pinch though, you can get the XXXL ziplock bags from the grocery store, get your stuff in them, and then pile a couple of kids on top to squish out the air.
