L.A.
A friend sent this to me and I thought it was funny. Especially since he does not have a wife or girlfriend.
I told him , not to send them over here.
My cube neighbor told me about a news story where a UK designer added to the care instructions for his jeans, or give it to your woman its her job.
I found this really funny or clever. I would think any man would know if you tried to make good on that you would be wearing said jeans in a very uncomfortable manner, ya know?
Well now they are called sexist jeans and are probably on back order from selling out of them.
My point, and really I have one, its a joke! No one seriously thought any guy would act on the label. Heck if I want to be a bit sexist a guy wouldn't even read the label.
Have we become so easily offended that we no longer have a sense of humor?

Laurie that reminds me of what I was thinking when I read the article, I don't see many men complaining that their feelings are hurt that they are once again reminded that they don't have a woman. Of course I stand by my observation that men don't read the labels so they were probably unaware they were buying sexist jeans. :p

I guess I'm the odd woman out. I think it's tacky, not funny. I'm not really offended by it, though.
I think people can't take a good joke!! I find that pretty dang funny!! I would be apt to buy them for my brother in law as a joke, bc my sister is one who would NOT find that funny ;) Hahahahaha!!!!!
Teehehe, likewise, when the mortgage bill comes, it should say "Give it to your Man, that's HIS job".
Humor is what makes life tolerable.
:)
I can just picture them high as a kite, giggling late at night, putting the finishing touches on the pants...... hey, nobody reads these anyway, let's put something stupid on here and see how long it takes anyone to figure it out. lol I think it's hilarious. And genius marketing apparently.
OH, I think that's funny! I also think these are funny, as well:
1. Women Like Men Who Iron
2. In the Best Relationships, You Both Wear the Pants
3. Dad Jeans? It's Okay, You Used to be in a Band
4. I Do Not Belong on the Floor
5. Don't Take These Off Before She Does. At Least the First Time.
6. No More Beer For You
7. I Look Better with Your Shirt Tucked In. Trust Me.
I must give credit to HuffPo for these! :)
haha that's funny. yes people are too literal and too serious.
I think it would have been funnier if they said "Give it to your Mom. It's her job."
yes everyone has lost their sense of humor. I found it funny too (gasp)
Why do brides wear white?
--To match the kitchen appliances .
I love low Brow jokes!
Oh whatever, that's funny. And NICE come back, HAHA!
People need to remove the stick from their butts (is that women's work too?)
Unless you're flat out bashing someone's race or religious beliefs, anything's game. I might have a really dry, warped sense of humor (like people falling is FUNNY)... but it gets me through my day.
Good news is, as much as I'll laugh at everyone else, I'm totally capable of laughing at myself as well ;)
Yes, I think we've lost our sense of humor over so many things, and as a society (particularly as parents) it seems people have become positively neurotic about worrying over the "problem of the week"! I wish everyone would chill out overall about most things. There are very few things in this world that can't be laughed at in some way in my book!
Lucky jeans say "Lucky" on the zipper, I think they are hilarious......the lack of humor is sad in our society
now if the designer or man purchasing these jeans really feels this way then i would just feel sorry for them and would think they will never find a wife
If I saw that in my jeans, I would love them forever! I think it's funny. I have a family member who is a feminist who posted about that on facebook. I keep her around there, because her gripes are so hilarious.
Some people just can't take a joke. I think it's kinda funny - like you - I see that any man would not take those instructions seriously.
Ha! That's hilarious, and yes, people HAVE lost their sense of humor. Everything is so PC it's ridiculous. My husband and I joke with each other all the time- he'll say, "Woman, go make me a pie" or something like that. I think it's hilarious.
I think it's funny...
I once saw a young guy wearing a t-shirt that said, Drink til she's cute" ... while maybe that isn't the nicest... However, I definitely think some people have done just that.... for some, it's the rule to live by.. therefore, that is why I think it's so funny.. of course, could go both ways... drink til he's cute..
anyway, I find off the cuff things rather humorous..
Wow, humour makes everything better! The other day I heard a story by this comedian (woman) about her teenage son being into molecular science, very difficult subject, he asked her to find him a tutor or some kind of private professor to teach him about that stuff - being a super-geeky kid, really - she was baffled and said: "Honey, can't you smoke pot like everybody else?" i thought it was hilarious!
yes its a world of humorless, grey people. Depends who is reading the label. Someone with too much time on their hands and a torch to burn, will find ANYTHING to rally against. I find it hilarious.
Okay really that is funny and you know what the only people that read the tag to know are the women- when was last time a mad read a tag? Women find that offensive but what they dont find offensive is the emasculating of men have you noticed in most commercials women are smart men are monkeys? Really pay attention to the next cereal or yogurt or hell even soda commercial and honestly lighten up
Well, I just showed the label to my husband and he said "Uh huh, it is your job, you dont iron mine though!"
: /
Thats ok, hes going to work to make me the bacon. lol!
i love it and I have to find M. a woman to wash my clothes...oh darn that would be M.=)
It IS funny! There's always one in the crowd that has to be offended and ruin in for everyone else!!
I thought it was funny! People just need to chill out and not take everything so seriously and laugh a little.
I've got a great sense of humor!
I don't find this label humorous.
It's right up there with the "I'm too pretty to do homework, my brother has to do it for me" tee shirt.
Hi J.-
I am reasonably sure I have not lost MY sense of humour...It has kept me going most of my life through thick and thin!
I, however, SINCERELY wish there had been labels such as that early on in my (former) marriage.
**sigh**
In an effort to 'help' in the early years...the 'x' did do laundry. Twice.
The first time, I ended up with a small 'doll' size version of a beautiful irish wool cable knit sweater.
The second 'go' resulted in dark pink whites...lol
After that...for ME...it was the 'woman's' job.
I guess when a person (male or female) is not taught how to do laundry...and is in the military - with uniforms and dry cleaners...it happens.
I think it is funny myself!
***Where can I order some???***
Best Luck!

I agree - I thought it was pretty funny! It's *obviously* a joke and I'm confident enough in my worth that I don't feel like it's demeaning to me as a woman at all. There are so many things that DO offend me in this world, but THIS wasn't one of them.
I love this. But it is opposite in our house. Bf does the laundry and cooks. I work more hours then he does so he takes the roll.
Oh, I love stuff like that!
There's a commercial on the radio about the 'snap shot' insurance or whatever. At the very end where the guy is talking all fast about the "small print" he says, "Prices vary on how you lie".
The first time I heard that I looked at the radio like, 'Say what?'. Then I just burst out laughing cause it's so true!!!
I think its funny, but my husband is the one that does all our laundry! =)
