Help Me Name My Daughter Please!

I became a mom for the first time just recently and I was blessed with a beautiful daughter with bright green eyes, Unfortunately though I have not decided a name for her yet as some things that happened a while back made me think again of the name I had already chose for her.
You see my pregnancy was quiet risky from the start as it was a miracle I got pregnant on the first place. I almsot lost my child during the third month and then again during labor when the umbilical cord was tied around her neck and almost killed her. At first I was thinking of naming her Arianna, but she is my miracle and I want a name more suitable for what she means to me, especially since the doctor was warning me all along my pregnancy that I might loose my own life as well.
So, dear mommies, do you have any suggestions on names?

Edit 1: In my country a baby gets his/ her name after the baptism, not when a mother leaves the hospital with her child

What can I do next?

You could always do Arianna for her first name and then a miracle-indicating middle name.

I'm thinking Arianna Grace

What about "Joy"- seems to sum up your emotions!

From Hebrew:
Rena "Joyful Song"
Rona "My Joy"
Alisa "Joy"

If you like Arianna, what about Amarissa "Given by God"

PS: You can leave the hospital without a name. Your child's birth certificate will just say "Baby Girl Smith" and you change it later. I had a friend who wanted to name her daughter Margeaux, but took two years to figure out which way to spell it! You cannot, however, have a Social Security number without a name.

We're fans of Biblical names :)

Call her Mira, short for miracle.

No, I seriously am kidding. I would never have the gall to recommend that someone name their child after me, though I do like my chosen name.

A name like Hope or Grace might be good for this little one. You can also find lots of pretty names that mean these things -- Nadia means hope, for example.

Whatever name you give her, she will always be your miracle. Congratulations. She sounds absolutely beautiful too.

How did you leave the hospital without naming your baby? I didn't think you could do that? Or did you name her Arianna, and now want to change it?

Look up names that mean gift from God. There is a whole list. Of those, my favorites are: Elizabeth: Consecrated to God, Jane: God is gracious, Amelia: Noble work of The Lord, Mila: Miracles, Adele: God is eternal.

I recently gave birth to my daughter April 1st. Her first name is Audrey and I wanted to give her a middle name of Roya. Roya means “a dream come true.”I also had a risky pregnancy and suffered many miscarriages before Audrey came into our lives. . Unfortunately my husband won and her middle name is Irene after my mother in law. He caught me after being up all night in labor with Audrey. lol

Congrats on your new little one.

What about something like Felicity or Felicia -- they mean "lucky."

Actually, Felise is a similar name, and similar to yours!

Congratulations, and best wishes to you!

Aviva is a name that means spring/renewal, which I think could be very appropriate given the situation and time of year. I love how lively and beautiful it sounds, too!
