My daughter wrote on her baby doll's face with blue ink! Does anyone know how I can remove this?
Thanks

I have used alcohol on wallpaper and plastics and it works well.
With wd40 or Mr Clean erasers. Works good on walls also.
Mother of 4 and been there done that! LOL
I was going to offer the Magic Eraser advice, but someone already has. All I can say is that if I weren't already married to a wonderful man, I would follow the genius that created that thing to the ends of the earth! Good luck!
You might try toothpaste,or one of those Mr.Clean cleaning sponges.

Try hair spray. I have gotten ink off walls with hair spray.

i would steer clear of the magic erasers with your children's toys. there have been reports of small children getting chemical burns from them. i agree with everyone on the rubbing alcohol and also on the hairspray. they both work wonders. good luck!!
Hairspray. Nail polish remover works too.
Not sure if it willl help, but I would try a Magic Eraser. You can get them in the grocery in the cleaning aisle. They are great with getting most stains off...anything!
Good luck!
Try the Magic Eraser, its done wonders cleaning things in my home. If that doesn't work try Goo Gone (put it on a wash cloth, I use it to get ink off of book covers at school).
I have used a 2 step process, sounds crazy but it usually works.
I spray the surface with hairspray then use good ole ivory soap to wash it out.
If it is a plastic face I spray hairspray and then wipe it down with believe it or not, spray suntan lotion.
That also takes off permanent marker from your skin...
Rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball should do it.
Hello G., you might try tooth paste it worked on crayon marks so it might take the ink off. good luck
if it is plastic: rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover or Mr. Clean's eraser
if it is fabric: take it to a dry cleaners, they have lots of special treatments for that!
You'll get it out for sure!
You can try alcohol if you have any, like rubbing alcohol.....don't put much on a tissue or towel and rub gently. I could also recommend some eco friendly products if you are interested. I see everyone else thinks the same. Good Moms think alike!! Also, be careful with anything containing bleach.....is it very dangerous to children and can cause very bad reactions.
Yep, rubbing alcohol should work. I used this on both the plastic and cloth parts of a cabbage patch doll - - came out beautifully! (warning, it looks like it spreads when first applied, but keep at it and it will come out)
I would try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I have worked miracles with those things!
You might want to test a spot on the doll's arm first...to make sure you're not going to do further damage.
Good luck!!
You didn't say if it was a plastic or fabric doll...but I guess the answer's the same: alcohol.
In all of my carpet cleaning classes, we learned that rubbing alcohol (and hairspray with high alcohol contents like AquaNet) work on ink. If it's fabric, I'd dab with a q-tip so that it doesn't bleed. Do NOT use wd-40! You would use that for removing other petroleum-based stains like lipstick.
Hopefully the ink hasn't dried too long. Loads and I do mean loads of hair spray will work.Put it on and let it sit for a bit. Other wise if that don't work you might need to use Ajax or Comet but these don't always take all of it off.
Try Avon's Skin-so-Soft bath oil. Let it set for a minute then rub with a cloth of sponge. Good luck!

Aqua net hair spray should disolve it.
Try rubbing alcohol. Good Luck!
that brings back memories!! i colored my cabbage patch doll and was so sad every time i played with her... (apparently my mom couldn't get it off...)
nail polish remover? maybe? or oxi clean?
Hairspray is good for removing ink .
Just spray some on a tissue til very wet, and wipe.
Try Magic Eraser - it works on everything else!
If it's a fabric face then try tossing in the laundry. Wash on cold with a bit regular bleach or color-safe bleach. I regularly toss baby dolls and stuffed animals in the laundry and it works wonders. Just don't use heat to dry. Heat will set the stain making it almost impossible to get out.
