We are moving to from Buffalo to the Ramsey Hill area July 2, and I am overwhelmed by the idea of choosing new docs for all of our family without much information on any of them!

Can you please help with recommendations for us?

1. Pediatrician for our 3-year-old twins (Was thinking Central Peds on Larpenteur Ave?)
2. Primary care (can be FP, GP, IM, DO - I don't care!)
3. Gynecologist

Would prefer female practitioners for myself, but it's certainly not a deal breaker. Hubby has no preference for his PCP.

I would appreciate any help you can provide!

ok so this is just a personal experience, that I had a central peds and maybe she is not there any longer? Dr Goodale told me numerous times that my 4 month old had a virus and then she told me that she was crying because she was frusterated that she could not crawl. long story short she ended up having a condition called reflux in her kidney's and had a bladder infection for over two months that was frusterating, Anyway I ended up at childrens downtown st paul and now both of my kids see Pamela (gigi) Chawla. She is so through and runs test for piece of mind, never quick to diagnois. I love her. She is also like the head director there. It is located in the Children's hospital.
OB I see Dr Jackie Mahan in Woodbury at Comprehensive Health Care for Women. She has always been great. With my 2nd pregnancy I had elevated BP and she scheduled me for fetal monitoring every week to check up on the baby and BP checks daily at home. SHe has always been great!

Three birds with one stone - Dr. Denise Long at Family Health Services on Randolph. We also really like Dr. Tetlie in that clinic. Dr. Long listens wonderfully and really is concerned with the whole health of the whole family.

I second the Central Peds recommendation - sorry to hear about the mom who had a bad experience, but we've been going there for years (and seeing Dr. Goodale, whom I love) and wouldn't go anywhere else. I do know several families who go to Pediatric Young Adult Medicine (PYA), which is connected to Children's.

I go to Metro Ob/Gyn, which has several locations - I really like Amy Kelly, and they also have a nice staff of NPs and midwives (although their midwives don't deliver.)

Good luck!
