Help with a Side Dish!

We're going to a potluck and so far the menu is pulled bbq chicken sandwiches, slaw, mac & cheese, and a cake. We'll be bringing drinks and a side (there's a lot of starch there, I'm thinking a veg).....but WHAT? What goes with this, that can be for about 15 people? Advice would be most appreciated, because knowing what sides go with what entree is NOT my strong point!

What can I do next?

My first thought was a broccoli salad. This is the recipe I use:

I also make a yummy corn salad to go with BBQ...but with the corn, it might be too much starch? I'll share my recipe anyway. :)

4 ears corn, cooked and then cut from cob
1 tomato, seeded & chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 banana pepper, seeded & diced
1/2 cucumber, seeded & diced
1 green onion, chopped
handful of cilantro, chopped
1/4 cup salted peanuts, chopped
1/4 cup goat cheese crumbles
1 1/2 Tbsp. lime juice
1 tsp. rice vinegar
2 tsp. olive oil
Kosher salt & freshly ground pepper, to taste

Just mix it all up, adding the peanuts and goat cheese crumbles last. I would at least double the above for 15 people though!

With all that starch, something fresh sounds good. I would either do a simple fruit salad (bag of grapes, package of strawberries and a cubed pineapple would not be too pricey) or a veggie tray (carrot sticks, celery sticks, broccoli, cauliflower, sliced cucumber) with some ranch and or onion dip. Or a simple green salad (lettuce, sliced onion, cherry tomatoes, cucumber).

All I know is, Martha Stewart's website has SO many good menu ideas for anything and everything.
I have used her recipes and its good and easy.
Her "Everyday Food" magazine is great.
And the website also has the shopping lists etc.

I think a veggie tray is your best bet.
