Help with Personal Lubricant

Okay, this may qualify as a TMI question. I'm sorry! But I need help. All checked out at my 6 week postpartum checkup, and we resumed marital activity. But I am breastfeeding, and feel like the sahara desert down there. We've used astroglide for years and been happy with it, but I had to reapply very frequently. My question is: have you found a lubricant that helps with extreme dryness? Do you have an idea for an applicator to get the lube up where it needs to be? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

What can I do next?

Hi A.,

I'm a Passion Party Consultant... *NOT trying to solicit my business here - just trying to help a fellow mama in need*

ANYWAY, I can make a couple of recommendations to you (if you'd like to visit my website www.ask4passion.com (under lubricants) I would recommend "Revelation". You may also want to try "Slip N' Slide (but it is silicone based & you can not use it w/condoms or silicone toys).

If you would like to try the "Revelation" I always keep samples on hand & would be happy to mail you a little pillow pac sample to try out. Send me a personal message if you need anything ____@____.com

Believe it or not, my cousin always uses pure olive oil. She's alergic to other kinds and swears by it.

Congrats for being able to "resume"!

look for a silicone based lubricant. it will work better, but you can't use it with toys or condoms. Apply the lube generously to him and it will get where it needs to be. hope that helps.

Hi A.,

We have to use lubricant every single time. I prefer the Target Lubricant from Target. It works great and isn't too thick or too watery. I think they are $1.50 per tube. Good luck!

I have to say, you made me laugh with the sahara desert reference. lol :) We've always used Astroglide too so I don't know how much help I can be for alternatives. I know some people who've had success with a product they have at Walmart for feminine dryness called Refresh or Replenish, I can't remember the exact name (I may be way off base with the name) but it's with the condoms, astroglide, etc at Walmart. It may be worth a shot, at least until your body gets back to normal. :) Good luck!

We use baby oil when necessary. Just put a little on him and that's it! It works great and doesn't irritate! Have Fun!
