I had my son 2 months ago and I got Hemorrhoids and they hurt sooooo bad. I feel such pain every time I have to go poop. I heard about this stuff called Venapro. Anyone ever take it? And what can I do about these hemorrhoids. I can't go see a doctor because they might want to do surgery on them and I can't be in pain since I am a stay at home mom and my husband is in the military. I have read up on the surgical procedure and most times the patient gets an infection because they cut the hemorrhoid out and stitch it up and most people tear there stitches when they make their first BM. Right now I am resorting to laxatives because I need help pooping and stool softeners don't work. PLEASE HELP IF YOU HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the advice. I don't have external Hemorrhoids I have internal ones that poke out during and after going to the bathroom. I don't wanna do laxitives because they make me cramp as I found out last night. Stool softeners yes I am taking but it still burns and hurts when I poop. I am going to make a doctors appointment first thing in the morning.

see your OB/gyn.. they wont want to do surgery cause that is nto what OBs do.. they will however give you prescription drugs for the problem.

There is a stool softener + a laxative. that can be taken for a while.. fiber supplements (benefiber, citrucel will also help)

soaking in a hot bath can help the inflamed areas.

the new surgery for hemeoroids is with a laser and no stitches.. my MIL had it done and it wasnt bad.. but after childbirht they would give you longer to heal the problem might go away on its own.

Surgery for this has come a long way. Talk to your OB/GYN, this is a very common problem after child birth. With my 1st child when the doctor came in my room to ask how I felt I told him I felt like I had a baseball up my butt. When he looked, he and the nurse both did the OOOOHHHH thing. So they took me into an operating room and lanced it, no pain, no problems. I still get them from time to time, not like that but PrepH helps, Tucks medicated pads feel great, but going to the doctor is your best option. You can't keep doing the laxatives or your body will get dependent on those. But get to a doctor asap and start enjoying you life again.

Take magnesium to keep your stool soft. (use mg Malate or citrate).

Also I have read that hemmeroids can be caused by yeast. I dunno if thats true, but I do getflare ups every now and then. Putting tea tree oil on it seems to reduce my inflammation, the pain and the itching. Magnesium is suppose to help with yeast infections also.

I had the same problem after my second child and I saw a surgeon, certain I would need surgery. Guess what? There are things to do to avoid surgery.

First, increase your intake of water. I really had to force this. Take a fiber supplement twice a day (like Metamucil). Take a stool softener twice a day. Try to avoid the laxatives if you can. Take a sitz bath in warm water to soothe the area.

The doctor prescribed a special cream for me. It was a miracle! It is a compound of a blood pressure medication Nifedipine that helps relax the muscle and allow for healing, hydrocordisone for swelling and itching, and lidocaine to numb the area. The ointment is applied 3 times a day.

I used this for 2 weeks and it allowed the area to heal. No more pain or bleeding. Yes, many people need surgery, but this was worth it. Make sure you go to a colon-rectal surgeon. The exam is NOT pleasant but I was thankful I was getting the attention I needed.

Increase your water & fiber intake for sure. Fresh/whole fruits and veggies (4-6 servings per day) should be helpful. Fiber supplements that you can add to a drink may be helpful as well. You should really try to get off laxatives. Those really keep your digestive system out of balance and can throw your immunity system really off. You don't need to sick, in addition to this issue. My doc said people should never take them. The site I'm listing below has a multitude [about 10 pages or remedies & testimonies] of simple & inexpensive natural remedies. It's a great site. I reference at least once a week. Apple cider vinegar is at the top of the list (great for many things).

Good luck at your MD appt. Hopefully you can find a remedy to help before hand, which may decrease or eliminate your need to go altogether.

My mom had hemorrhoids after her 3rd baby. For a little relief you should buy Tucks pads. You can use them in place of toilet paper. They come in a jar and look like round makeup pads.
Preparation H is a great help, too. It's a tube of cream you an apply to help shrink the hemorrhoids and sooth the pain. Unless they're really bad, you don't need surgery. Military docs can't make you have surgery. So you should go see your provider and have this taken care of immediately. Until then, eat lots of fiber and don't take any more laxatives. They can cause other problems. Try oatmeal or shredded mini-wheats and drink plenty of water. A., if you need any help please contact me. I live on Fort Bragg. =)

Whew! Take a deep breath...relax lol

They wont rush to surgically remove them because you got them from child birth...there are people who suffer from them as a heredity. Call your ob/gyn and speak with a nurse they will usually phone in a Rx if you ask. They used to give ProctoFoam not sure what they issue now.
