I had terrible headaches and was constantly tired w/my second pregnancy. The dr diagnosed me as being anemic and put me on an iron supplement. The headaches and fatigue stopped almost immediately.
I am 13 weeks pregnant and am having horrible headaches nothing i do makes them go away. i have tried using a warm cloth on my head or thought mayb its because i dont have caffeine naps showers etc. nothing i do seems to make them go away ihave also tried tylenol but it didnt help either and i dont like taking anything while im pregnant it scares me. does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this before?
i went to the doctor last week she basically told me to suck itup lol which is what i had figured shed say. im pretty glad about that though because id ont like taking anything and the only thing ive found that helps is a heating pad on my head and back of my neck thanks for all of the great responses!!!

I'm so sorry you are having to go through this. I haven't had terrible headaches, so I can't give you the answer you are asking for. But I will tell you to go to a doctor, and if the first one doesn't have an answer, go to another one. There are headache clinics run by specialists in treating headaches--that's where I'd start. I hope you get some relief. Soon!
I had pregnancy-induced hypertension and nagging (wouldn't go away) headaches were my only symptom.
I found cool packs worked to help lesson the pain, on my forehead and/or on the back of my neck.
The same thing happened with me in my first pregnancy. Mine were vascular/tension headaches and I still get them a couple of times a year. My doctor prescribed Fioricet. It was totally safe for pregnancy and the relief was great!! Ask your doctor. If it's tension, a professional massage is just the ticket. Try to find someone who specializes in pregnancy massages.

HTH- I have migraines a few times a year and during pregnancy they are the worst- for me they seem to be brought on by dehydration, excess sugar intake, neck tension (usually from too much driving, I'm very tense when I drive.) I've been known to vomit from the pain, and it's worse IME than any labor pain I've ever experienced in 5 all natural labors and one miscarriage...
You should try chiropractic! Often headaches are brought on by hormonal changes and adjustments help to rebalance the nervous system. I see many patients with this same problem who are pregnant and get relief with adjustments to the spine. Visit the ICPA4kids.org website to find a chiropractor in your area who specializes in pregnancy and pediatrics. Hope you seek out this alternative approach!
I went through this too, and my doctor said that it was due to a hormonal fluctuation. It occurred all through my second trimester. I didn't take a lot because I was afraid to. My doctor gave me Darvocet (Tylenol with a kick) and it helped some. The headaches subsided in my 3rd trimester.
Hi, there! My migraines got worse during pregnancy, but like so many others have already written, drinking a lot of fluids helped. I had to drink so much that I was waking up one time in the middle of the night to have a drink and empty my bladder. You definitely want to aim for your urine to be clear and colorless.
And, keep in mind that salty food will increase how much you need to drink. So I made sure eat less salt and MSG.
Also, just wanted to advise you to check with your MD about caffeine. I think there is some more recent concern about miscarriage risk.
The body does lots of funny things during pregnancy. First, discuss it with your doctor. I would suggest exercising, making sure your fluid intake is sufficient, and try a pregnancy massage. Good luck!
I HAD HEADACHES BOTH TIMES I WAS PREGNANT THEY LASTED 28 TO 42 DAYS WITH NO RELIEF. I WENT TO A NEUROLOGIST, PAIN MANAGEMENT, DENTIST AND PHYSICAL THERAPY NONE OF THEM WORKED. MY OB DOCTOR GAVE ME FIORICET AND MY HEADACHE WAS FINALLY GONE.I WAS SCARED TO TAKE MEDICINE WHILE I WAS PREGNANT BUT I FELT LIKE I HAD NO CHOICE.THE REASSURED ME THAT IT WAS TOTALLY SAFE IT IS A MIX OF MY LITTLE GIRL IS 10MTHS AND VERY HEALTHY. THIS WORKED FOR ME I HOPE YOU HAVE RELIEF SOON
Acetaminophen is a pain reliever and fever reducer.
Butalbital is in a group of drugs called barbiturates. It relaxes muscle contractions involved in a tension headache.
Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant. It relaxes muscle contractions in blood vessels to improve blood flow. Fioricet is a combination of acetaminophen, butalbital, and caffeine.
Fioricet is used to treat tension headaches that are caused by muscle contractions.
I've been through 3 pregnancies and on the 3rd all kinds of "things" came up! One of the worst ones was the headaches and they were probably migranes, since now I still suffer from them and use RX.
Try lying down (trying to relax) with an ice pack on the base of your neck. This may help lower your blood pressure if that's the type of headache it is. Or, is it allergies. Somes drugs like Zyrtec were OK'd by my doctor.
If this doesn't work, please check with your doctor. I had to use a high risk guy for my last pregnancy, and with some of the things going on, drugs had to come into play, as little as possible, of course.
Maybe herbal tea (sleepy tea) might help. Hopefully it will calm down since you are entering your second trimester.
Good luck! I feel your pain!
J.
Try a cold pack on the back of your neck. I know it used to help me when I would get a headache. Are you getting them because your hungry. I knew I had to keep snacks with me when I was pregnant because I would get a headache If I had an empty stomach. I hope it gets easier. Good luck and congrats.
i had the same problem all through my preg. everyday. it felt like a severe migraine. it made me very sick, vomitting. make sure that your blood pressure is fine by the dr and that you dont have floating spots bouncing around your line of vision, which are sign your blood pressure is up but also can be just from the headache. like you i found nothing that helped. the pillow even felt like a rock. just hang in there. most of my trouble was the first trimester and the last month of my preg. rest as much as possible, sleep as much as you can!!!!!!!!! i was anemic the last two months of my preg but the meds did not stop the headaches.
Here is something that worked for my migraine headaches when I was pregnant (since only ibuprofen works for me normally). My husband bought me an eye mask filled with Lavender. You put it in the freezer for about 10 minutes then put it over your eyes and relax. My headaches would usually go away after about a half an hour. Something about the coolness and the aroma really helped me. I think he got this from a Discovery magazine but I am sure you could find something similar at a natural foods store.
have your doctor check your blood pressure.... and try some relaxation techniques....go get a massage!
When I had headaches during my pregnancy I talked to my Dr and they had me go in and get checked out. It can be a sign of pregnancy induced hypertension.
There are too many things it could be to not get it checked.
You should be able to call and tell them what's going on and let them decide whether you need to be seen.
I had the same problem when I was pregnant with my last child, seven years ago. I had never experienced anything so awful. My doctor told me they were pregnancy induced migraines. Unfortunately, back then there wasn't anything you could take. Please, ask your doctor about this because mine did not go away until I was about to deliver, and I would hate for you to have to go through that the rest of your pregnancy.
I once had a headache for 2 years straight, due to hydrocephalus, so I can relate. First, the heat is a really bad idea. It increases the flow of blood and makes your head hurt worse. Use a cold ice pack on your head. You may can try the "Head On" that is rubbed "directly on the forehead". If that doesn't work, believe it or not, a chiopractor can help tremendously. I had another headache, due to sinuses and he was helping my husband. I mentioned it and he asked if he could just try to help me. Within minutes, my headache was gone. He also asked me how high my pillow was. I told him I slept on two pillows. He said it should be no higher than six inches. I am free of headaches now. Good luck to you.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned drinking water- I was chronically dehydrated during my pregnancy because I just don't drink that much. This caused me to have headaches. I had to up my fluid intake and force myself to drink water as if it were medicine. That usually worked. I hope that helps!
Could be your blood pressure. You might want to call your dr or check it at a pharmacy. You can try drinking lots of water if it is not the blood presure.
A. M
The headaches could be related to your hormone levels and they could level off a bit soon and give you some relief from the headaches. I had plenty of headaches, but at one point the lessened quite a bit. It sounds like something to bring to the attention of the provider of your care.
It is b/c of the increased blood flow in your body. I had it and I got my husband to rub my head every night before bed and that helped a lot.
Try drinking a full glass of gatorade.
M.
Have you tried going to a chiropractor? Mine helped me before, during and after my pregnancies. Hope you feel better soon.
M.
I had the same problem due to a sinus infection. I highly recommend the migraine cold patch - Walgreens has them. I don't remember the exact name, but it's a migraine patch that is super cold. It's great for when you're in labor too! It stays cold for hours! Really helps. Good luck.
I had horrible headaches as well. I'm prone to them any way. Two things have helped.
1. Omega-3 take everyday. This has helped me even after pregnancy.
2. During the time you feel sick you can take Milk Thistle tincture. It taste disgusting, but helps clear out the toxins in your body. This is a time when your body is cleaning itself out and preparing for the growing baby. The pregnancy puts stress on all your organs.
Exercise helps as well, but if you are like me, it was out of the question while I felt this way, I did try.
Good luck, this will pass!
i only had time to read a few of the last suggestions - i hope one of those works for you. with my second pregnancy, i had horrible borderline migraines for FIVE MONTHS and then they suddenly went away. nothing i did or took helped. the doc said i could take excedrin migraine, but it didn't help either. they didn't seem to be true migraines (my mom and sis get them but i never have), but they were horrible... i wish i'd known to try the icy hot or vapor rub on the head, as i have found that helps alot of things you wouldn't think it did!
i hope you don't have to suffer thru it the next two months, but i just wanted to say that it could just stop one day, kind of like morning sickness, but you need to be aware it could be quite a while you have to suffer thru them, and "this too shall pass!" - my second was the hardest pregnancy i had and although my BP was usually just slightly elevated during the last half of my pregnancy, it did spike the last week and i had to be induced 2 days post-due date. my headaches were the first half of the pregnancy, when my BP was fine, but my doc always wanted to check it, since she said that was a big symptom of High BP...so make sure you are keeping an eye on your BP yourself - at a local pharmacy or whatever...
and if caffeine helps, it won't hurt the baby in small doses - don't drink a pot of coffee or 12 pack of coke or anything, but don't be afraid to take some - it is almost always what gets rid of my headaches nowadays.
PS - i have had probably only 2 or 3 of those type of headaches since he was born and he is 10 1/2 now...
all the best!
A.
PS again - i just read a few more of your suggestions - be VERY careful and leary of seeking massage or chiropractic care for headaches! my hubby is a PT and knows of several people that went into early labor due to different trigger points and several others we know have had excruciating back pain due to the differences in a pregnant woman's body's spine... Chiropractors, while called doctors, have never been thru medical school and as a matter of fact, have alot less training than even my husband who only has a Master's of Physical Therapy at this point. Chiropractic schools don't require gross anatomy or many of the other practical courses that PTs and Medical doctors are put through. He has seen SO many nightmare cases (most of them non-pregnant!) of people who had been in chiropractic care for years with little long-term relief. MOST of them (not all!) are trained to fix problems short-term so that they have a constant patient flow, and not to teach you to manage your own pain with exercise and weight control. but back to the original warning - there are proven massage techniques that will prompt labor and some people go specifically to go into labor early - but some less experienced massage therapists and chiro's are not aware of the trigger points and inadvertently cause more harm than good! if it is for your head, most "adjustments" are in your neck vertebrae, and my husband even does these for me on occasion. they rarely work, but sometimes help a little bit. but you just have to be EXTREMELY careful about who you go to - most OBs will not recommend chiro care, but it depends on who they know. make sure anyone you see is very experienced in treating pregnant women...
let us know if anything works wonders! i will be checking back next time i have a bad headache that caffeine won't help! :)
It seems like I do remember this. Talk to your doctor, but make sure you are drinking more than the normal amount of water, you need more when you're pg. It could also be caffeine withdrawal, which is temp until your body adjusts. My guess is that it's raging hormones, which is also temp until your body adjusts. Pregnancy is full of unusual aches and pains for some of us! Hope you feel better!
I had the same exact problem when I was 13-16 weeks along
(I'm at 25 now) the only thing that helped me was a little bit of sugar. Specifically a McDonalds hot fudge sunday,(LOL) but I believe anything like that would help you. You sugar may just be a little low.... Have you been to the What To Expect website? They have message boards there where you can get opinions and advice from women in the same stage of pregnancy you are in. I use it all the time.....
Go to your doctor. It could be one of numerous things including high blood pressure. I would not play around. Get checked.
A.,
Yes, I had terrible migraine headaches when I was pregnant with my first daughter. Only Tylenol III would take care of it because it had codeine in it. The generic wouldn't work for me, only Tylenol III. I also had kidney stones. Yuck!
My best to you and your family.

Have your blood pressure checked!!!! You may have pregnancy induced hypertension.
I had some pretty bad headaches with my first pregnancy too, and was told it was most likely the hormone changes (after the doctor ruled out other things.) Tylenol didn't help at all and the only thing that gave me relief sometimes was an ice pack on my forehead and on the back of my neck (at the same time!) and lying down in a darkened room with no tv/radio or noise for about 15 minutes. If you have recently gotten off of the caffeine it could be that, but if you've been off of caffeine for a few weeks then it's most likely out of your system now. Try the icepack instead of the heat (heat can increase swelling and if your headache is from blood vessels swelling the heat is making it worse) so the ice pack can help reduce the swelling of blood vessels and help stop the muscles from constricting. They will most likely go away soon as your body continues to change. Good Luck, hope you feel better!
my doctor was able to give me a nose spray called staydol it helped tons! talk to your doc about it otherwise just rest as much as you can
If you used to drink a lot of caffeine prior to being pregnant and all of a sudden stopped, that could be exactly why you are getting bad headaches. (That's what happened to me.)
My doctor told me while I was pregnant that 1 or 2 sodas or 1 cup of coffee was ok, just don't overdo it. Even though I still got slight caffeine headaches for awhile, they were no where near as bad as when I tried to give up caffeine cold turkey.
If that's not it, then I would ask your doctor and tell them that tylenol isn't working and what else can you take.
Well, I got the cure that no one ever wants to talk about, but works fastest and best. A big time orgasim!!! It is usually a hormone imbalance, and you can just rebalance it fairly easily.
Also regular exercise (daily walks work well) and diet are good ways to keep them in check. They say to keep a food diary and you will see a pattern as to what makes them worse.
And try to get out in the sun and fresh air.
Hope that helps!
i have heard (probably an old wives tale) that when you are pregnant with a boy, you can get bad headaches from his testosterone. just a thought... not that it helps you at all
This is gonna sound really odd, but pinch the meat between your thumb and index finger and hold it until the headache goes away. Supposedly that is a reflexology point and will make it go away. Also, I've heard that slicing a lime and rubbing it on your temples will make a head ache go away.
Try googling "Headache remedies" and see which ones are safe for pregnancy.
Hi A.,
If your headsches are causing you pain and tightness in your face/neck/shoulders, like a tension headche, then rub a bit of vicks/ben gay/ peppermint oil in the areas. You'll be amazed at how quickly the pain goes away which will probably also make the headache go away. This is what I do. You might be getting the headaches because of a change in your hormone levels. Hope this helps!
J.
had this too. i don't usually drink sugary drinks, but my mother told me to try 2 small gatorades, and it did work well; which prob means dehydration. but the gatorade also has good electrolytes.
Hi A.,
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I'm sorry to hear you're having headaches but there are a few things that pop into my mind.
1. Are you drinking enough water? I would try increasing you intake of fluids as that may be the #1 reason for your headache. I found it helpful to drink at least one gallon of water daily when I was pregnant. Maybe you can try the same to see if you notice any difference.
2. Have you cut caffeine or sugars out of you diet? Your body may be detoxing from having the substances in it.
3. Your body is supporting the growth of your baby now so maybe it's possible the added stress and the pregnancy hormones could be the cause of your headaches.
I suggest to start by increasing your fluids. I second the suggestion of visiting a chiropractor as regular adjustments during pregnancy can be beneficial for mom and baby. http://www.icpa4kids.org/why/pregnancy.htm If you find you're still having them I would definitely mention this to your midwife/doctor at your next prenatal.
Good luck and congrats again. Enjoy this journey to motherhood.
Peace,
J.
You didn't mention if you let you doctor know about these headaches. It is very, very important that you rule out pregnancy induced high blood pressure.
Hi A.,
What are you using to clean with. Get the chemicals out of your home and that may help you. Also, you do not want that around your family. See if this will help your headaches. Be careful what you use to clean with. If you have any questions feel free to call.

I have migraines anyway. During the first six months they were worse and I couldn't take my immitrex (migraine medicine). After six months I never had another one so maybe you won't either. I remember my Doctor saying it's hormonal. The only thing I could do that helped was getting a massage. You just have to make sure you get a massage from someone who does pregnancy massages. Ask your doctor to recommend someone. They usually know good ones.
Contact your OBGYN. Headaches during pregnancy can be a symptom of a problem that need to be addressed by your OBGYN. I had vascular headaches when I was pregnant and the OBGYN put me on a medication and I walked every day. That seemed to help.
I went through this and it may sound crazy but rub icy hot or deep heating mentholated rub on your head where it hurts . It works and will not harm the unborn baby at all.
Obviously, hormone related. My thought is, see a chiropractor, or start massage therapy, or maybe a holistic doctor. It is probably like morning sickness and will go away after the first trimester. Good luck, I feel for you.
If you are use to having cokes and you haven't had one, then it will take a few weeks for it to level out totally. I would almost rather you drink cokes that take too much tylenol. If you want to stop drinking cokes, why don't you wean yourself off of them. If you are having headaches from withdrawals, your baby is probably feeling it too. Drink a little bit every morning for a few days then start skipping a day until you can lay off of them without noticing.
Let me tell you what I have seen. I have 4 kids: 3 boys and 1 girl. I drank cokes (caffiene) with 2 of them. The 2 that I had cokes and coffee with have turned out to be my smartest,.... my valadictorians. I think that the caffiene is supposed to be a drug and not good BUT I also think that it stimulated brain activity while developing and those are the smartest ones. Bless the other one's heart. Sometimes I wonder about them. I now wish that I had drank cokes with all of them. Would love to see if the 2 that I didn't drink cokes with, would have been smarter. But can't go back in time and can't change what is already done. That is just an observation that I thought that I would share with you.
I think that the caffiene stimulated brain activity while developing in my stomach as crazy as it sounds.
Good luck with your headaches.
I hope you feel better soon. You should be enjoying the heck out of your pregnancey.
Make sure you are drinking your water. I would ask the Dr.
A.,
I did, and it was because I had cut out caffeine. Try increasing your water intake, but also mention it to your doctor at your next appointment - they may be able to give you some good tips.
T.
Hi A.,
You may be on to something. Caffeine withdrawl can cause horrible headaches. Did you eliminate ALL caffeine, cold-turkey? My husband was concerned when I was pregnant because I loved Pepsi (at that time they didn't make caffeine-free). My doctor said I'd have to drink an entire 2 liter everyday to equal the caffeine in coffee, so a glass or two a day wouldn't hurt. (I don't drink coffee) Ask your doctor what he thinks. A coke a day may be enough to eliminate your headache and then, if you want, you could eliminate that slowly. Definitely let your doctor know about the headaches. Good luck and congratulations. L.
Hi, I haven't read all the other responses but here's a few ideas:
Drink a lot - yes, dehydration is the #1 cause.
Have your eyes checked. Sometimes pregnancy can change your vision, I don't know why. Eye strain can cause headaches, especially if you are on the computer or reading a lot.
Check in to getting chiropractic care, it can truly do wonders during your pregnancy.
Trying relaxation/meditation techniques to ease the tension in your jaw/neck/face.
Try a different pillow.
Good luck!
Congratulations on your pregnancy!! I am also currently pregnant with my 3rd. I don't typically have difficult pregnancies...morning sickness..very mild and short lived and really no other symptoms. With this one I had the most terrible headaches, I was extremely sick, it was just so much different. A friend suggested that it might be the side effects to my prenatal vitamin and when I considered that it did make sense because it was the only thing that I had done differently this time! I am with a new OB so, they prescribed a vitamin that I haven't tried with the other two pregnancies. I quit RIGHT AWAY and resumed the Target brand "Origin" which is what I took with my previous two pregnancies. It was like day and night! I felt better immediately and haven't had a single headache since! I am 16 weeks right now. Just a suggestion :) As they said in all of the other responses...there are really several reasons why you might be experiencing this and it might have nothing to do with what I just mentioned, but hey...it worked for me!
Good luck!
Women prone to headaches sometime find they are exagerated during pregnacy due to hormonal changes. Tylenot does nothing for migraines. Migraines cause pain by tightening blood vessels in brain causing "spasms". Extremes of temperature, foods, noise , and sunlight can trigger them. The "Head-On" cold gel packs feel, great but ask the pharmacist before using them. Taking caffeine at start of the pain can help instead of cause it. I have suffered from migraines for years so feel your pain. Also, eye strain can trigger them. J.
Pregnant women have increased blood flow and can have a bleed in their head. Get it checked immediately...
Hormones do wicked things to those of us with headaches. There are some safer prescription drugs on the market now. I took a hyper-tension drug for the last 6 months of my pregnancy that did a great job of blocking the headaches, even though my blood pressure was never close to high. Talk to your doc and see if you can see a Neurologist. They will work with your OBGYN to find the best option for your headaches and your baby. Best of luck!
L.
I had headaches with both pregnancies and the thing was I didn't drink/eat a lot of caffenine. Tylenol didn't work either, but your ob/gyn should be able to prescribe tylenol w/caffenine to you, mine did. Ice packs work much better also. If you don't have any other children the best thing is to put yourself in dark room, ice pack and quiet and it should resolve, I just did that myself over the weekend. It took about 20min to go away. I am nursing my 2 month old so Tylenol is still the only thing I can use also. You can also try "shots" of Coca Cola...the caffenine should help too. GOod look!
Talk to your doctor. Ant pain that is as severe as that sounds is very important to discuss with your doctor.
Hope you feel better. Congrats on the pregnancy and best wishes!
If you are having sensitivity on your teeth I will suggest you consult with a dentist. Headaches can come from dental issues. Also rule out tension headaches. How is your anxiety level? Any muscle ache on the neck area? All this is interrelated. Also; How well are you sleeping? Lack off sleep will cause serious headaches.
If this is tension headaches you can lower anxiety levels and your headaches will improve. Talk to your OB about this.
Good luck,
S.
Yes, I had really bad headaches and my doctor told me I could have 2 cups of coffee every morning and not to go over that so I drank the 2 cups every morning slow..... and it did help. Good luck!
instead of a warm cloth try a cold one or even ice pack on your head. You can take tylenol when you're pg and little caffine is fine.
best of luck
A.,
I'm sorry to hear you are going through that. Are you sure they are not migraines? I suffered horrible migraines throughout my first trimester. I thought I was going to die half the time and wanted to die the other half of the time because I could not take any of the medication I used to take. The only options I had were to either let them ride out or take two tylenols (650 mil. ea and no more). Sometimes they helped (if I took them as soon as I felt the migraine coming on and very fast) and sometimes I was too late and they did not help much. I suffered a great deal. However, they stopped as soon as I entered my second trimester.
Hopefully, your headaches will stop. There is nothing else other than Tylenol that can be taken while pregnant, but try getting the 650 mil bottle and see if that helps. It is usually the Tylenol bottle that says it helps arthritis. My doctor said it would be okay as long as I did not take more than 4 a day because he knew that I suffered from migraines.
Good luck and feel better.
A.
I have no idea about headaches during pregnacy and it might sound like the wrong answer but if you think its from lack of caffeen try having a cup of coffee (small one not a mug)orcup of tea or small soda if thelack of caffeen is causing them than just have a small drink its not going to hurt you or the baby as long as its limited and if you still have the headaches time to see your doctor.good luck hope you get fealing better.
Since you already have 40 (!) responses, I won't add much, but I did want to say that I have had horrible headaches off and on since I was 11 years old (I'm now 38), and it was such a relief to me when I finally started using a bed buddy (those sock-type bags filled with rice or something like that; you can make your own with a long tube sock filled with rice, then knotted at the end). They can be chilled in the fridge or freezer if you want cool pressure, or microwaved (up to 2 minutes) if you want hot pressure. The weight of the bed buddy makes it so much more effective than just a heating pad or warm cloth. And the heat or cool lasts for quite a while. A warm or cool bed buddy often helps me get to sleep if a headache is interfering with sleep.
This *can be* just part of being pregnant for you with this pregnancy. Tylenol is fine to take.
I suggest drinking LOTS of water all the time. It should help the headaches too...they may be a result of dehydration. I went through at least four litres of water per day. I did not drink coffee or coke products. It took that much to feel hydrated and well.
Good luck!
I only get bad headaches when I don't drink enough water; but I never had pregnancy-related headaches, so I don't know if it will help. It's worth a try, though! I try to drink about a gallon a day; if I don't drink at least eight 8-oz glasses, then I don't sleep well at night, and I also get a headache during the day.
Hi A.,
You might want to try a scalp and neck massage, either from your significant other or from a professional massage therapist. A lot of tension can build up in the sub-occipital region (where the back of your head and your neck meet) and can cause headaches. If massage doesn't work, you might even look into accupressure. I've never tried it myself but I've heard it can help with everything from headaches to morning sickness. I hope you find relief soon!
All I can say is water, water, water. I am 15 weeks and I am having headaches as well. I think that mine are from too much sugar and not enough water. I know I do not drink enough. My doctor says water is the cureall for everything. It could be that the headaches are hormonal and now that you are coming out of the first trimester they will become less frequent.
I had the same issue not too long ago. Two things really seemed to help. I took tylenol PM at night so that I was sure to get sleep because I wasnt sleeping well and that can cause headaches. The other thing I read somewhere was to drink gatorade. It really worked. Part of the reason you have headaches early in pregnancy is because of dehydration. All of the good stuff goest to the baby and because you are going to the bathroom so much. Gatorade kept me hydrated better than water and I had less headaches. Hope this helps.
try the headache stick, can't remember what it is called, but it took the edge off of mine while i was pregnant.
Well talk to your doctor, pharmacist and go see a chyropractor something in your neck/spine isnt where its supposed to be.Talk to a health food store they known things you can use naturally...good luck

Hi A.
I have dealt with many difficult headaches as well. The thing that works best for me is ice. It is a little tough to get used to putting it against your skin. If you take a paper towel or thin towel in between the ice and your skin it helps. If find that it numbs the pain without drugs and works pretty well.
Im sorry you are dealing with this, it is tough and painful. Hopefully it is an early pregnancy hormonal headache and they should stop pretty soon.
Congratulations on the new baby!
Best wishes
T.
I don't have any advice on how to get rid of them, but most likely they are from hormone changes. I rarely get headaches, but did early in both my pregnancies. It should go away in a week or two. Hang in there;-)
You could be going through caffeine withdrawals if you stoooped you caffeine intake because you are pregnant. I went through the same thing when I tried to stop caffeine. It goes away after your body adjusts to no caffeine.
