Hi I need some advice on hot flashes.
I think I am at the beginning of menopause. I have some symptoms of such, except hot flashes. However, I experience heated palms. Both of my palms were some warm that I did not feel comfortable, and sometimes I will reach ice package to cool them. Is it a type of hot flash? How does a normal hot flash feel like?

Thank you
W.

Hot flashes are very sneaky. I don't know how many times I said, "Is it HOT in here?" before I realized it was just me! I also went through a summer of being too hot, then too cold, then hot, then cold, etc. before the light bulb went on over my head--- night sweats. ( They were first.) I've never heard of them just in your hands, but anything's possible. I would at least talk to your doctor's nurse.

Yes. I've heard of these before. I don't get them that way myself. When I'm having a 'power surge', I get hot all over (like the room feels like it's suddenly 100 degrees). Sometimes it goes away in 10 or so min and other times I feel like I need a cold shower to cool down. I've gotten quite sweaty a few times, but that doesn't happen to me too often.

Run, don't walk, and pick up Suzanne Sommers book, The Sexy Years, and my favorite by Dr. Christine Northrup, Women's Bodies, Womens Wisdom. This is one big book but oh so worth the read. I skipped around and then started at the beginning.

Go Bio-identical if needed. Do not let the mainstream doctors put you on the birth control pill or other pharmaceutical hormone unless you have exhausted other avenues first.

Clean your diet up - eating organic, especially in your meats and chicken. Remove diet items that contain aspartame and other artificial sweetners. Start pampering yourself more:o)

They are different for everyone. Some women's hormones are more imbalanced then others. I am sending you a private message with my email address and my web site I can email more information about Arbonne's Natural Balancing Creams.
