How Long Did It Take You to Get Your State Income Tax Refund?

I'm in Wisconsin. I e-filed on February 3, with direct deposit. The WI refund deposit was made on Feb 8. The Federal one was made on Feb 12.

A friend of mine in Naperville filed the 2nd week of January. She got her check last week. Hers was a pretty straight forward form though-no deductions or anything.
My refund was taken by Berwyn because they said I had a ticket which I paid a long time ago. I plan it now so I will owe money hopefully though it should never be a lot.

Depends on the state. We filed electronically. Fed came in <10 days. Jersey in < 3 weeks. Still waiting on NY.

Well thankfully we haven't had to file in Illinois for three years. So, this was the first year I did my husband's taxes. We e filed and I assumed like Missouri when you e file you don't have to send anything else. You don't really need W-2s to prove withholding the fact that the state has your money is proof, ya know? Well not Illinois! Nope they waited for four months then sent us a tax bill as if we hadn't withheld a dime saying we had to send the paper W-2s to prove they had the money or all these penalties...blah blah blah. So I sent them in.

Two years later we got the refund!

Oklahoma. Filed at the end of January and got my state back in about two weeks. Federal was about three.

What refund? We owed. :(

I live in oswego. We filed the week of valentines day. God the state refund right away. but are caught in the snafu with the education credit thing. No idea when we will be getting our refund. the website had the thing saying our taxes had been received. then it had the one saying they were being worked on. now just a black and white note that says they will let us know when they have an expected date for our return to be sent. I am not a happy camper. We need the money for my sons wedding. so now not spending a dime literally saving every penny sigh...... should not have counted on it but we did.

I've heard from some friends that the turnaround is a bit longer this year. Who knows. Maybe you can check online for an update?

We try to prepare so that we do not have a refund or owe $$ but whenever we end up with a refund, we just have IRS apply it to the next year on our account. It just takes a bite off the top for the next year.

We do the same with our company taxes as well.

We filed electronically both state and federal on Feb 23rd. Both refunds were direct deposited into our account on Mar 4th. I was shocked that they both came so quickly.
