How to Get the Word Out?

My husband and his friend have started a Handyman service where they do it all, from fence work to the honey-do list. What is they best way to get the word out and what are thoughts on setting up a website for them? Does anyone know of any other sites besides Craig's List where they could advertize for free? They have already done a few jobs for a church and some individuals but really want to push this forward since I can't work due to health reasons and it would help us make ends meet. :-) Thank you in advance.

What can I do next?

A man put a flyer on my door today for that those types of services. I happened to be in the front of the house and I watched him as he went from house to house. He walked in the street and up the sidewalks to each door, rather than trampling people's grass. I was SO impressed. On his flyer, he listed the types of jobs he could do and that he'd provide a 2-year written guarantee on his work. Based on what I saw and read, he'd be someone I would call. I think someone who is willing to go door to door in 100 degree heat in order to offer his services would be worthy of a call.

Check with Greensheet and Thrifty Nickel, they are relatively inexpensive advertising. Or any other small paper there in the Keller area.

I would also get some free stuff from www.vistaprint.com and put cards out wherever you go. I put a couple cards at each place I stop at during daily errands and I get calls! I stick them by the cash register, also donut stores usually have boards for people to stick ads on.

I don't know how many times I have seen Handy Man needed on MAMASOURCE. I would keep an eye out here and if you are anything like me I check this website about a 3 times a day if not more.
GOOD LUCK!!!
