I sautee it with olive oil and then I throw in a can of black beans and coconut milk and simmer. Then I put it on top of quinoa or rice and slice peaches or nectarines and put on top of it.
I've been told Kale is extra nutritious.
I bought it. Now what do I do with it?
Thanks

If you don't like the taste of kale you can also try baked kale chips. My kids even eat these up

I sautee it with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper... BUT the most important thing (that I didn't see mentioned) is this:
After you rinse it off... flip the big leaf over so the vein/stalk is sticking up. Take a knife and drag the tip on each side of it cutting out the big stalk. Throw that part away.
I take the leaf halves and slice them into 1 inch or 1/2 inch strips.
You can cook it pretty much like spinach.
Spinach, kale, collard greens, (and beet and turnip greens) are all excellent steamed up.
In smoothies. Rip several leaves into smaller pieces and I put it in the blender last for smoothies.
Kids can't even taste it!
For something a little different, our family likes this recipe for kale chips http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Baked-Kale-Chips/Detail.aspx I also make a soup very similar to this one http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Rich-Italian-Sausage-and-Pot... . I don't add pancetta and I use 1% milk instead of the heavy cream. We also use this same recipe for the abundance of chard we grow in the garden. You can also cook it similarly to fresh spinach....saute it with a little olive oil, onion, garlic, salt and pepper.
there's a great Irish recipe for kale & mashed potatoes (you can substitute any cabbage type green)
here's one recipe from foodtv, but there are lots more. I've made it before and it's yummy and looks colorful.

After washing it, I let it soak a few minutes in salt water while I cook several strips of bacon. I sautee the kale in the bacon grease with garlic and onion. After it wilts, add water and spices, let it cook down to tender but not mushy, and add crumbled bacon when it's almost done.
Do a recipe search on Whole Food's website. I like to make cold salads out of it. It's great in soup too. You can find great kale soup recipes at www.allrecipes.com. Do an ingredient search. It pairs nicely in soup with sausage.
I steam it, then toss with oil or butter, garlic and soy sauce. If I have a citrus fruit like oranges or tangerines, I squeeze some juice on too.
it is nutritious, the LESS you cook it , the better it retains its vitamins.. That said... you could finely cut it and add it to your salad.. oh some will say, yuck.... raw kale.. but I say YES.... it's tasty.. the other thing you can do is add it to a smoothie.. a leaf or two.. blend it in.. YES.. it does taste green, it's an acquired taste.. one I don't mind.. also, as others have mentioned, you can saute it.. and even add it to lasagne as you might spinach.
best of luck
Kale needs to be cleaned in a colander throughly with running water. Dry the kale with paper towel and cut the kale into strips and fry it with olive oil and I would add a bit of garlic. Enjoy.

Kale is yummy and very nutritious! You can mix up a couple of leaves in a smoothie or make the kale chips (my little ones eat those as well!).
Kale is also very good in soup. I slice some onions, saute, add some natural (no nitrites or nitrates) cut up sausage or natural chorizo, add chopped kale, when it begins to wilt add chicken broth and white beans and cook until everything is soft. I am enjoying some right now:)
Sautee it with some olive oil, garlic, and salt and pepper.
I have no idea how to make it, but crispy kale is delicious. You could probably find a recipe if you just google it.
In a large saute pan or skillet, heat 1 package of chopped turkey based kiolbasa sausage and 1 finely chopped red onion.
Season with salt, pepper, ground mustard, and paprika
Once browned, add washed kale and lower heat allowing to wilt. Stir to combine all ingredients. YUM!
You can 'wilt' it like other greens - same as sauteeing, I guess - olive oil and garlic for spices - use it in stir fry with baby corn, mushrooms and chicken/tofu/meat.
Mix some pre-seasoned lemon chicken with olives or capers and or/artichoke hearts.
make a warm salad with Italian seasoning and cherry tomatos and asparagus tips.
My fav is allrecipes.com, as others have mentioned.
