If a family has 7 children, plus a mom or dad, they don't all fit in the minivan! How do families like that transport everyone? Even a drive to Grandma's across a few states would be, well, impossible! LOL. I am just thinking about family size and hate to limit it based on minivan seats. Thanks moms!
If you have a 9 person family, the only way to do it is to buy or even rent for that time period a Dodge Sprinter. Not the most attractive vehicle but it will get you where you need to go, plus room to spare. They're very common with large families.
my husbands side of the family has 8-9 children and they all drive Chevy Express vans. They have 15 passenger and they take a road trip each year to Florida and are very happy with the amount of room they have.

I am interested in your responses. Sometimes I feel the same way. We have 4 children and I hate to base my decision of whether or not to have another child on the fact that we will not fit comfortably in our van. Even "eight" passenger vans, do not seem like a great idea for a road trips. Funny that you think about that too~

My neighbor with 9 kids got a 12 passenger van. They are NOT easy to find, but they are out there.
Well they do have those cargo vans that seat 15. Our church has one and it is really nice. You can look into that.
when my kids were younger...we drove a dodge 3500 15 passenger van...
If I had had MY druthers...I would have picked a ford 12 passenger van (called a 'club' van as I recollect)...but my opinion was not solicited...lol...

The time *we* actually required a vehicle that transported ALL of us was short lived...a mini van is all we need now...

My husband's friend has 5 in the family but he has a conversion van that really is not so much bigger than a minivan to make it scary big but does have an extra row of seats. I believe it can seat 9 or 10 comfortably. A family in my parent's neighborhood has 10 people and they have a suburban.
My SIL had 7 children and they have a 12 passengar GMC van. Another friend has 5 children and a large van as well. There are 8 passenger minivans and 9 passenger Suburbans (3 in the front seat), but then you cannot transport even one friend.
There are large van options out there, you determine your family size.
