I had Lou Stratten last year when my daughter was one and I want something different this year. I tried Rhythm Child and they no longer do child parties.
Check out My Gym - they do great parties for the little kids and you don't have to clean up.

For a 2 year old it was great. She does magic shows, also balloon animals, face painting and other things as well. She's in LA.
My daughter loved Twinkles the clown so much at 3 she asked for her again at 4(she was already booked!) She's sweet- not scary at all. She does very cute puppet shows, balloon animals etc. I THINK it was around $100-125. She's does the LA area. I think she may be in the valley. We still have the enormous poster she made for Kira's 3rd birthday on our wall (Kira will be 6 in March) that all the party guests help decorate.2 may be a little young...Her # 1-800-4CLOWNS
I have two suggestions for you, although I don't have phone numbers, but they can be looked up on the internet.
Musical Bob (Bob Harrison, I think) - This guy is amazing! He plays a guitar and sings fun songs with the kids, he plays games with them, including using a parachute. This guy is so entertaining and so funny, that he even entertains the adults. The kids are fully engaged every moment.I have used him and seen him at a number of other parties, and all the kids, every age loved him. He obviously loves what he does, as it really shows that he is having fun.
The other is a puppet show called Giraffe n Staff. We used them when my son was 2, and it was really good.
Both of them are in LA.
